Batuk's P.O.V :

The downpour landed on the Earth, cherishing those beautiful greeneries all around. Yet amidst this soothing scenarios, there was something which the rain failed to sooth down with its every drop. It was the heart of my dada which was almost grief stricken. The pitter patter noises made its way to my ears unless I realised that he was no where. Where was that man? I moved my gaze but couldn't comprehend where he was. Without thinking twice, I rushed through the musty roads, with creating small uplifting of the soil beneath.

"Daaaadaaa!!!" I yelled his name, cupping my mouth.

"Daadaaaa!!"

My heart started thumping faster with each and every second passed by without any response. After almost five minutes , I found him kneeling on the ground, under the big tree with his knees getting pierced by the small pebbles.

"Dada!!" I gasped.

In no time, I rushed towards him, half panting, half crying, for his state was devastated. I kneeled down beside him. After observing quietly, I realised he was crying. His eyes never lied to anyone and are the most expressive in our house. After slightly shifting my gaze , I found the belongings of Boudi. Those clothes, those books and her Krishna Idol.

"Dada Boudi vapas aagayi ?" I almost excitedly asked to him. My heart fluttered with the thought that she wasnt in danger.

My eyes shone brightly with the fact that she is safe, along with my best friend Daiwik, Rajiv and Subhash, of whom people thought to be guilty. When I was all churned in my own thoughts and myths, I suddenly felt someone clasping my torso. His heavy weight was leaning on my body. My body almost jerked off when he suddenly bumped on me. Thanks to Boudi who always makes 'panch pakwan' for me or else who would have handled this weight?

"Dada main jaanta hu aap bohot khush hai Boudi ke aane se lekin....."

My breath hitched when I realise he was sobbing in my embrace. My body went numb, for I have never seen him crying so badly.

"Dada kya hua? Aap ro kyu rahe ho?"

His grip tightened around my torso, with the intensity of his muffled cries increasing with every minute. My hands automatically wrapped around his, busy caressing his back.

"Bo-ndi-ta.." He uttered in between his sobs.

"Kya hua Boudi ko? Dada boliye na."

"Vo-h va-ha hai...usse le-kar gaye.."

Again a bomb exploded in our lives. Boudi in torture house, the only fact which was indigestible for whole RC haweli. I carefully observed dada and realised how broken he was. His nose and ear lobes turned pink due to the exertion and his palms clutched into fists. My whole body started trembling and shivering and the cold rainfall added its effect. My grip on him loosened and soon he left my embrace.

"Ye ye murti. Uski hai!! Bohot vishwas krti hai ye inpe." His eyes shone with a different aura, when his soul was rummaging through her belongings.

"Ye ye...ye kitaabe...Batuk ye dekho. Kitna padhti haina voh." He said while ruffling the pages of her notebooks.

"Dada!!"

"A - Ni - Ru - Dh....Batuk ye mera naam. Usne pehli baar likha tha." He laughed like a maniac.

"Aur ye kya likha hai? Bondita Aniruddh Roy Choudhary."
