Batuk's P.O.V :
"Par kya Kaka manenge ?" I asked her on the way.
"Shayad nahi." She said disappointedly.
We were walking through the rough roads of Tulsipur, heading towards our school. Its another wonder for us since we were 'walking' slowly , counting each and every step and not 'running'. Since we have ample of time today, we decided not to strain our lungs and send the 'Roy Choudhary Express' to hiatus.
"Phir aap us sammelan mein hissa kaise logi boudi?"
"Pata nahi Batuk. Par us sammelan mein hissa lena mera soubhagya hoga. Jante ho main apne Tulsipur aur aas paas ke gaavo ki pehli ladki banungi jisne kathak sikha hoga. Agar mera nritya sab ko bhaaya toh mujhe is umar mein bohot ucch sthan prapt hoga. Aur toh aur samaj ki nritya aur sangeet ke prati ye galat soch bhi badal jayegi. Aur main nahi chahti ki ye mauka mein hath se gawa du."
She explained me why taking part in the programme was important for her. Her eyes shone different when she mentioned about it. Her eyes had mixed emotions; despair since Kaka won't agree and the excitement at its peak which she always possess. It seemed as if this was the day she was waiting for since so many days. It had became her aspirations. But all she was helpless for kaka had previously warned her that she will not show her skills to any outsider. Aur yaha pe Boudi toh pure sabhagaar ke samne nritya karne ki baat kar rahi hai. How will she explode this bomb in house? Should I purchase some heart attack medicines?
"Par tum chinta mat karo Batuk. Ye Bondita koi na koi tikdum nikal hi legi lekin us sammelan mein hissa toh leke hi rahegi." She said determinedly.
With the passage of time, we didn't realised that we have reached the school, for we were interrupted by the loud ruckus and shouts there. And there came the person which we both didn't want to see, the guard of our school. Haven't I told you before that he is one of the weirdest creature on Earth?
"Arrey aa gaye tum dono. Suna hai Tulsipur mein ek nayi pratiyogita aayojit ki hai." He announced excitedly.
"Nayi Pratiyogita??"
"Nayi pratiyogita??" We both questioned altogether.
"Haa!! Kachuye ke sath daud pratiyogita. Dekhna BaBo kachuye hi jeetenge. Jeetoge na ?"
We both glared at each other. We decided to take a deep breath to withstand this sarcasm. Haven't I told you before that the guard passes illogical taunts to us? Completely ignoring him, we headed inside the school. We turned back and found him laughing hard, holding his stomach.
"Isme sachmein koi hasne wali baat thi?" She asked me confused.
I just rolled my lower lip, shrugging my shoulders, giving 'I dont know ' look."Ye kya laaye ho tum?" Shashwat asked me.
"Chataai !! Pata hai main bhul hi gaya tha...accha hua Boudi ne yaad dilaya." I said excitedly. I was almost thanking god for this chataai.
We were walking through the corridors of our school, marching towards the class. Crossing many classrooms , ascending the stairs and rotating the bottles, hopping and jumping are all the things we could do. It's actually what every student do. In middle, we used to halt down to take an outside view from the corridor. We found many students talking in a group, chitchatting all the senseless things they could do with their friends. The toppers obviously holding books in their hands. God knows what they read so silently in their books. Some filling their bottles, others walking hand in hand and some running and scattering, most probably playing ice water during morning time.
