"Ab kya karenge? Asked a tensed Rajeev.
"Yaha se bhagna hai humein." She said determinedly.
It was no doubt that amidst the tension prevailing in the air, her confidence never bowed down to knees, for she was very proud of her country and her fellow citizens.
"Tum pagal ho kya Bondita?" Yelled Subhash.
Rajeev immediately held his arms, trying to calm and console him. She jumped and jerked a little on her place due to his sudden change in behaviour.
"Subhash..." Hissed Rajeev.
"Kya Subhash? Aaj iske karan hum yaha fas chuke hai. Dikh nahi raha tumhe? Kisne bola tha prashna patrikayein churane ke liye? Neel ne toh mana bhi kiya tha. Lekin isi ki behki behki baaton mein aake fas gaye na hum!! Tumhe andaza bhi hai yaha kya ho raha hai Bondita?"
The sudden clouds of tears accumulated in her eyes and her body went numb. She feebly nodded her head in a no, with her gaze constantly hung down.
"Daiwik kaha hai puchogi nahi tum?"
She quickly rolled her gaze in the surrounding, after realising the fact that Daiwik was no where to be seen.
"Kaha hai Daiwik?????"
The unknown silence prevailed between the caged corridors. The sudden fear and shiver grasped both the souls, which was no doubt contagious to the two girls who were in the hope of getting replies.
"Maineee puchaaa kaha hai Daiwikkkk???" Her voice almost shrilled with fear, tension and the tinge of cry.
Subhash silently started walking, without any eye contact, with the expressionless face perfectly stuck on his body. Amolika tightly gripped her hand in an attempt to console her newly made friend. She could sense the fear of Bondita, for the silent shivering of her body was not anonymous to her. The feeble sounds of footsteps amidst the most silent atmosphere was giving a chill to spine. Hardly any ray of light was passing through the small hole that was present on the bricky walls of the cell. Tossing and turning, tumbling down, Subhash finally reached a room.
Creeeaaaakkkk!!!
The wobbly iron door opened, making its most screechy and a ringing sound....
Aniruddh's P.O.V :
The pupils slightly moved and my eyelids struggled to open , so as to see the colourful world which was black and white, since she was not with me. She was the only one who painted the canvas of my life with vibrant colours. My fingers quivered on something, something that was rough to feel, something that was unknown to me. The warmth of its touch was unfamiliar and so was my brain that went numb due to futile efforts of comprehending the atmosphere. Boring the immense pain that throbbed in my body, I slightly opened my eyes just to see a tin roof on my head. Gradually as the senses were coming, I could hear the feeble cries of Batuk, who had held my right palm for so long. Breathing for some while, adjusting to the sudden change, I realised that I was wrapped with white bandage across my head and across my left palm. I decided to get up slowly.
"Aaram se dada..." He supportively held my back, helping me to get up and sit.
"Hu-m ka-ha hai?" I coughed.
"Dada aap chinta mat kijiye. Subroto kaka ka ghar hai ye. Unhone hi vaid ji ko bulakar aapka ilaaj kiya."
"Mujhe dada bhi bol sakte ho tum. Kareeb kareeb tumhare hi dada ke umar ka hu main. Kaka bolke budha mat banao mujhe."
