It had been a week since Benjamin had last seen Noah. He decided to distance a little bit before he started catching feelings again. He felt as if both of them were emotionally unavailable.

Benjamin was sitting in Gabi's bed, watching her pack while eating ice cream straight from the container.

"So...Who is this girl? And how'd you meet her?""

"Mutual friends. It's technically a business trip but we'll have like two days to chill."

Benjamin hums and sticks his spoon back into the container. "And you guys are dating?"

"No but we've made out a couple of times."

Benjamin giggles and sits up. "A couple?"

"We haven't went on an official date yet but we're planning one. Nothing serious yet."

Benjamin smiles and sits back against Gabi's headboard. She zips up her suitcase before climbing into bed beside Benjamin.

She sets one of her hands flat on her stomach. "What are your plans for the weekend?"

"Uh...Apply for jobs and I'm probably gonna go see my mom and Zach. They got back from their honeymoon yesterday."

"Ugh, your parents are so cute."

Benjamin giggles. "I know right. Can't believe I'm jealous of my moms love life."

Gabi sits up and grabs the spoon from Benjamin, taking a bite of the ice cream. "You wouldn't be."

"Are you talking about Noah?"

Gabi shrugs and sits up. "I just have a theory."

"A theory? I don't think you can apply theories to this situation."

"Well...Can I say it anyway?"

"Sure."

"You guys were completely fine until college. You guys were never unfaithful of toxic to each other. Only thing separating you guys was distance. And now that distance is gone."

"So what? We should get back together?"

"I think you guys should talk about it. It's been what, two years since the breakup? We're all adults now, graduated college...Maybe that's the closure you need."

Olivia was sitting on the couch, flipping through a magazine. Zach was called into his office right as they got home so she had a few hours to sit around.

She hears her phone ringing. She closes her magazine and sits up, seeing Markus' caller ID on the screen.

She grabs her phone, a smile on her face as she sits back and opens her magazine back up. "Hey, Markus. What's going on?"

"Hey, have you spoken to Benjamin? I can't get ahold of him. Been trying to reach him all day."

"I spoke with him earlier, he says he plans on coming to see me and Zach tomorrow."

"Oh, yeah. Congratulations by the way."

"Thank you! So sorry you couldn't make it. Benjamin mentioned you had some important work thing come up, but all is forgiven."

Markus lets out a forced chuckle. "Right. Well, if you reach him could you tell him to give me a call, please?"

"Of course, love. I'll talk to you soon, alright?"

"Alright. Thanks."

Markus hangs up the phone and grabs his laptop. He searches the quickest flight from Massachusetts to North Carolina.

He quickly books a flight.

Benjamin smiles and hugs Gabi. "Have fun and be safe on your trip. I love you."

"Love you too, babe." Gabi smiles and grabs her suitcase and begins walking away. Benjamin closes the front door and turns around, leaning against the door.

He lets out a sigh and walks into the kitchen to try and figure out what he wants to eat. His phone starts buzzing and he groans, flipping it over to see who was calling him.

This would be the fifth time Markus has called today.

He flips his phone back over, letting his phone ring.

He hears his phone buzz again and grabs it, seeing Noah had texted him.

you avoiding me?

Benjamin stares at the text for a few minutes before shaking his head and completely shutting his phone down.

Noah stares are his phone, hoping for a response but doesn't get one. He frowns and sets his phone on his bedside table, getting up and walking into his kitchen.

He opens the fridge. He hasn't seen his fridge full like this in over a year. Benjamin must have spent a lot of money.

He grabs the pack of strawberries out of the fridge, feeling too lazy to make an actual meal. He brings the pack over to his living room, turning on the TV.

He grabs a remote, scrolling through channels. He couldn't bring himself to watch sports anymore.

After his injuries, he felt so upset he wouldn't even try with the physical therapy that was recommended for over a month.

Noah decided on an adult swim show, throwing his remote down onto the couch.
