Noah knocks on the bathroom door, leaning his head against it. "Babe?"

Benjamin looks at himself in the mirror, wiping his eyes with the back of his hands. He clears his throat. "Mhm?"

"You alright in there? Open up?"

Benjamin takes in a sharp breath and nods his head.  "I'm fine. I'll be out in a second."

"Benjamín? Please."

"I'm okay." Benjamin turns the sink on and splashes his face with water.

Noah frowns and shakes the door handle. "I'll be right here, alright?"

Benjamin doesn't respond. He begins feeling choked up and walks over to the bathtub, taking a seat on the edge. He props his elbows up on his thighs and brings his hands over his face.

Benjamin unlocks the bathroom door, seeing Noah leaning against the wall. Noah stands up straight and steps in front of Benjamin. He brings his hands up to Benjamin's face which was red and his eyes were puffy from crying.

Noah frowns and wipes under Benjamin's eyes. "You wanna talk about it?"

Benjamin shakes his head. "Nothing to talk about."

"Benjamin-."

Benjamin pulls away from Noah's hold. "I'm okay," He clears his throat, putting his hands into his hoodie pocket. "Uhm. What're they doing now?"

Noah shrugs his shoulders. "I think they're about to cut the cake. Do you wanna go? You can go get in the car, I'll say goodbye to everyone for you."

Benjamin offers a small smile. "That's okay. I can do it myself."

"You sure?"

Benjamin nods his head and reaches out for Noah's hand.

Jade appears around the corner. "Where'd you go? You were gone for like five minutes! Come on, we're gonna cut the cake and then watch a movie!"

Benjamin nods and follows her back into the kitchen. Damien tosses his hands up in the air. "Thought you two disappeared?"

Benjamin gulps and sighs. "Yeah, uhm, we actually need to go."

Anna frowns. "Aw. Everything okay?"

Benjamin can feel his face getting warm as tears came back to his eyes. "Uhm. N-Noah is due for medication and we forgot it. Should probably leave now."

Damien rolls his eyes and sets the cake knife down on the table. "Well, let me walk you out."

"Not necessary."

"I insist." Damien shrugs.

Benjamin glances at Noah, irritation written all over his face. Jade frowns and holds her arms out. "Well, it was nice seeing you. Thank you for the present."

Benjamin gives her a small hug before pulling away. "Of course. Happy Birthday."

Damien walks Benjamin and Noah to the front door. Benjamin sighs and looks up at his dad. Damien chuckles and shrugs. "What?"

Benjamin blinks a few times. "Seriously?"

"What?" Damien responded flatly.

"Cut the 'good dad' shit. You only did that to fuck with me. What's wrong with you?" Benjamin snapped.
