The freelance police haven't made very much progress since the last chapter. In fact, they're still perusing Bosco's E-convenience.

Peering down at a concoction in a cauldron, Sam questions, "Poison mead?"

(Y/N) gags, leaning on the counter, "Between Bosco's coffee and poison mead, I'd take my chances with the poison mead."

"Ditto," Max mutters, grinding his sharp teeth over his tongue from bringing back past tastes.

"Spawn point?" Sam asks again, staring up at a sign above the sludgies machine.

"The hell does that mean-" All of a sudden, the sludgies machine starts pouring out some oozing purple slime that slowly forms into the shape of a poop emoji.

"Ewww!" Both Max and (Y/N) cry out, the latter hiding behind Sam.

"It's kinda cute actually," Sam admits, viewing the slime thing more closely.

Max and (Y/N) weren't having it, the former grinding his teeth, "It must die, Sam. It, and every single one of it's kind, must die!"

Sam looks down at Max and (Y/N) with an expression akin to asking 'why'. The latter puts it as, "We need the experience points."

Sam shrugs, pulling out Max's boxing glove.

Sam takes out his gun and shoots down at the slime monster, but nothing comes out.

The slime monster hops away with a horrible squelching noise.

Sam tilts his head, humming, "I think I scared the little blue nebish."

Max groans, slouching his chest on the counter, "Don't scare it! Kill it!!"

(Y/N) scooches away from the lagomorph with murder on his mind, "What'd this one have for breakfast this morning?"

"I'm experimenting with a new sugar high caffeine diet," Max explains, "I find it makes me more regular," He ends his sentence by banging on the sludgies machine, making more slime come oozing out.
