Anyway, today I felt like putting on my "I know what I'm doing" hat and showing you guys something really cool about colors that honestly blows my mind every time

Anyway: color theory time! Let me show you something really fun
His skin and hair both look brown right??
Well what if I told you they were both pink

Pink (or light red, I'll fight you on this)
I know it doesn't look it, but I swear it's the same color. It looks brown because of the colors surrounding it.

They look brown because of the super saturates purple line art. Make the line art orange, and they'd look super pink. If you just desaturate pinks and reds, they'll look brown, and it's really useful for creating cool color schemes with warm-tones characters.
This also goes for blending characters into dark backgrounds. Go more towards purples, desaturate and darken them a ton, and it'll look like it's another color in a dark setting (although in cases like these, I highly recommend picking colors with the background already made—trust me, it helps a lot)
