Oh boy, do I have a story for you guys

But before we get to that:

Human AU cuz I didn't wanna deal with green scales, but I did put little feathers and scale patterns on their respective sweaters so

I love my bois

Ignore that I still don't know how to draw someone properly holding a bagel

Actually, it's canon, that is how Aidyn holds his bagels and Damon makes fun of him for it

I shouldn't be throwing my canon powers around that rashly, that can lead to some truly cursed mistakes

ANYWAY

LET ME TELL YOU ALL

ABOUT THE ABSOLUTE DISASTER THAT OCCURRED AND HOW CLOSE I CAME TO FIST-FIGHTING MY IPAD

So basically, I use a lot of layers right, one for each color so I can adjust them real easy. And I've now started grouping all the layers for one character's base colors (so all the stuff I do before shading) into a folder, which can then be merged into one layer

And so Ibis was acting up and crashing anywhere from a few seconds to a minute after I opened my canvas. And I'd even shut my iPad down, cuz that sometimes helps when it's acting up, but it didn't work. So I was like "alright, I'll merge one of my folders that I'm done adjusting, that should help."

So I go into Ibis, I open my layer panel, I click on the folder with every single base color, gradient, pattern, and normal highlight for Aidyn in it

I hit merge

The folder merges into one layer and goes blank

And the app crashes

Now, for a little background: once you leave your canvas and go out of the app or back to your gallery, your undos disappear, because it just saves where you are and starts over

So I panic because holy fudge did all my colors for him just disappear and lO AND BEHOLD THEY DID, AND GUESS WHO COULDN'T UNDO BECAUSE IT CRASHED AND SAVED WHERE I WAS

AND I HAD TO REDO IT

B U T I am Smart Cookie and I played back through (which literally took forever because I did this on the same layer as my Kyrran doodle, one other doodle I made, and a failed attempt at a different drawing, p l u s the hours I'd spent on this), screenshotted the point where I had all my coloring done, and just color picked and refilled everything in

I was full on having a mental breakdown (not really but there was some hysterical laughing) because I'd spent so long and I actually love the way the colors look they fit so well and I was sO PROUD OF MYSELF AND IBIS DECIDED TO CRUMPLE THAT UP AND TOSS IT

But it's fine, we're fine now

So yeah. I hope me having no art style is fun for you guys at least...keeps you on your toes, oo what's it going to look like this time, etc
