Anyway, it's been a while I think since I posted any Almoons content, so here's a mini Daidyn scene suggested by the lovely via_zimo

Damon's hand is too big FUDGE

This took 7 hours :) Most of it spent sketching, as usual...took me forever to pull up a reference for Damon's hand, and I went through like four different poses on my own I think before I swallowed my pride and took a picture...
But yeah! No overlays on this one—a shocker, I know—but I actually like the colors the way they are for once. Usually I use overlays to try and hide the issues, but I like them this time, which is nice
Poses get weirder the more you look at it, but at first glance it looks okay (don't come after me Bro, I'm sorry)
I'm trying out this odd like, gradient-ish shading thing? I just lightly erase some edges of the hard shading...I'm not sure if I like it or not yet. I also decided to try something different and...hold on okay brush breakdown:
Okay, on their faces, there's like, faded darker parts, right? Around their noses and fingers, etc...that's a brush called Pen Fade. I use that for face coloring, and adding variation to things when I want it to blend in a little, but not too much like it would with an airbrush or other soft blurred brush.
So I laid my flats and grabbed that, then made a dark, slightly more purplish/pinkish/just moved the hue a tad bit towards that area and kinda threw some light shadows into places I knew I was gonna shade. Other places too, just to give it some variation, but yeah...
Shadows are a light pinkish-purple, lighting is a yellow green set on overlay and duplicated (basically just chose the sort-of-opposite color of the shadows for the lighting)
