Ch24 Doll

"Doll, come down and join me!"

Kookie yells from outside, running around in the rain.

"Andwe kook-ah, I don't have extra clothes, and besides, you know, I get sick easily."

I yelled back from the balcony of Ems bookstore. I sat there watching him enjoying the rain until suddenly I lost sight of him.

We've been friends since we were small, so I know why he disappeared from my sight. I hurried and hid myself under the table, but not fast enough as the door swung open. I looked up to see that he was already smirking at me.

I close my eyes because I already know what's coming. He pulls my feet until I'm completely out of under the table. Then he bends down and carries me, bridal style, out of the room.

"Kook no, please, I really don't have any extra clothes here."

"You can wear mine, doll, so no excuses."

As soon as I felt raindrops begin to fall on me. He puts me down, then intertwines our fingers as he starts to pull me and we run around.

As we were enjoying the rain, I spotted Mrs. Ems on the balcony, the same place where I sat earlier. She is smiling and enjoying herself watching us while holding a cup in her hand. I bet she's having a cup of coffee again. I wave my hand at her and so does Kookie, then we start to run around again.

I look at Jungkook. Being friends with him for many years was hard on my part because I started to gain feelings for him. I wanted to confess to him, but I'm so scared. What if he doesn't feel the same? This might ruin our friendship. Maybe I will wait a bit more and find the right time to confess.

Months had passed until our graduation day from high school. I decided to confess to Kook after the ceremony. I've also decided that if he will not accept my confession, I will find another university to study at, any school as long as he's not in it. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a loud knock at my door.

"Doll, open the door palli!"

I heard Kookie, so I ran out of my room to open the door for him.

"Doll, I can't attend the ceremony today. I have to fly to America. My dad got into an accident and I have to be there as soon as possible."

He said this and worry was visible on his face.

"O-okay, I'll go with you,"

I said, holding his hand, but he shook his head.

"No, you don't have to. Stay and march on the stage. I'll be fine. If dad recovers fast, I'll be back in no time. I promise."

He promised before pulling me into a hug.

"Are you sure you're going to call me You will come back, right?"

I asked now as tears started to wet my cheeks.

"I will, promise," he again promised, then gave a peck on my forehead.
