(I have a feeling I'm going to cry writing this BUT whatever. Peter Parker dies to the scene of Stay Alive Reprise, Phillip dies with Peter's death scene in Infinity War - not turning to dust just the dialogPlease note that I have never died, nor have I turned to dust. I have only my imagination and what it feels to go under anesthetics and I'm not using the latter as much.)
PETER POV
Pain. Creeping through him, tearing him apart. "Peter?" Mr. Stark asked.
"S-Sir?" Thanos won. Thanos must've snapped. Dust was coming off Peter. He couldn't feel his hands. "I did exactly as you said, sir. I- I tried to hold him back."
"I know."
"I-"
Mr. Stark hugged him. Peter couldn't feel past his elbows. "You did everything just right." Mr. Starks hand ran through his hair.
"Even before we made the plan, I was trying to get the glove."
"I know."
"I was trying to get the glove." Peter gasped. His legs, he couldn't feel his legs.
"I know, save your strength and stay alive." Peter could barely hear what he was saying to FRIDAY, but he made out a muffled, "Is he breathing is he going to survive this? What's happening, FRIDAY, do you know?"
"Sir, I'm so sorry for forgetting what you told me." If he'd just stayed on Earth...
"Peter..."
"We built things in the lab." Peter tried to smile, tried to be alright, but his legs were disappearing and yet he could feel every bit of dust that used to be him. He could feel himself slipping.
"I taught you advanced coding." Mr. Stark said fondly.
"You would put your hands on mine." His arms were gone, it was getting hard to breathe.
"You changed it a little bit every time." Mr. Stark was crying. Peter was crying, or at least, he thought.
"I would always change a line."
"Shh, I know, I know." Peter couldn't feel Mr. Starks arms anymore.
"I would always change the line." Peter stared off at nothing, he could barely see now. Black crept in as more of him drifted away.
"3.14159265." Mr. Stark said. Pi. Peter knew Pi. Peter didn't know what was happening but he knew Pi.
"3589793..." Peter said. His voice was hoarse and not his own. He couldn't tell if he was breathing.
"Good! G oo d, ki d, sta y w it h m e." Mr. Stark's voice faded.
"2..." he couldn't see now. "3..." he couldn't talk. "8" he thought, as hard as he could, before all sensation was lost to him. He did not hear Mr. Stark's panicked yell for him. He did not see or hear anything at all.
PHILLIP
Cold. His stomach was cold.
You would think a gunshot would would be hot, and burning, and it had been, at first. He'd heard someone yell for a doctor, and he saw someone run.
Blood. On his shirt, on the ground, on someone's hands. Just as he was starting to really process, his parents ran onto the dueling ground.
"M-Mom? I-I don't feel so good." Nausea built in him, his breathing becoming harder.
"You're alright." His Dad said, kneeling next to him. The look on his Dad's face meant they both knew he wasn't.
"I don't- I don't know what's happening!" He shook, trying to breathe and cry and talk at once.
"Steady, steady." his Dad said. Steady was gone. Steady was fading with his vision.
"I don't want to go, I don't want to go, please, Mom, I don't want to go! Please." He pleaded with them, begging them to make it stop, because if anyone could it would be his parents. It would be his mom who taught him piano or his dad who taught him cards and politics and he didn't want to leave them.
He didn't want to die.
His Mom hugged him. He could barely feel it. He couldn't see her, couldn't see anything. "I don't want to go..." He pleaded. She might've said something. Phillip wanted to hear her voice, wanted to stop the buzzing in his ears, wanted to stop the aching, wanted to stop the numbness in his limbs, wanted it all to stop.
From the abyss he was sinking into, a void he knew was death, he choked out, "I'm sorry."
And then Phillip Hamilton was no more.
