Scalpel and Spatula

Being financially independent was very important to the Anne sisters. After all the sacrifices and struggles, they find themselves with a comfortable life style. But still they find something missing, love!

Will Arohi and Anjali come out of their comfort zone in search of the most comforting feeling, love? Will they find it in themselves to accept affection from strangers when they didn't get some from their own?

Adarsh looked miffed. His two friends, Harsha and Adrith were not leaving a chance at making fun of him.

"It's ridiculous you believe in fairy tales," Harsha guffawed again.

"I don't believe in fairy tales, I just believe that I will meet the right one. My soul mate," Adarsh answered exasperated.

As Harsh laughed, Adrith started his leg pulling. "Let him be Harsh," he started with a slight mirth in his voice. "He probably is waiting for a girl in white chudidhar, with a white dupatta that would caress his face in slow motion.."
Harsh burst out laughing yet again, which stopped Adrith from continuing his imaginary story.

Adarsh sighed, his friends were the one to tell.  Harsh was in a relationship since his 8th grade, a love story longer than a decade. Adrith had a childhood crush, which he strong believes will turn into a marriage in future. If that did not yell sappy romantic he did not know what did.

He was just about to reply, when a white dupatta actually caressed his face.  Now that would be plain coincidence back his country but here in states it was a rarity. So he ignored the teasing he could hear on the phone, he walked towards the owner of the dupatta. The girl turned around to apologize him and vanished into the maze of people, New York always seemed to have.  He followed behind her, I but soon lost her to the sea of people. Sighing Adarsh sat down in one of benches roadside. He was gutted he could not meet the girl, but he was happy. Finally he had seen the girl who had made his heart sing the right way. He was going to find her and he was definitely going to charm her into his life.

Aditya sighed! It was a tiring day. He was training to take over the family business, and his father was too tough. He closed all the account ledgers, filed all the new cuisines and recipes he had read, shortlisted the chefs he was going to try out tomorrow, before he moved to his phone. The multiple missed calls on his phone notification, reminded him of the date he was supposed to go, so as to celebrate the anniversary with his girlfriend of two years!

Bolting from the chair, he dashed to his car hoping that he will still make it to the reservation. But as he made the last few sprints to the car he realized that his drama-queen, diva girl friend would never wait for him. So he called the restaurant to confirm the same.

As the hotel staff informed him that his girl had long left the restaurant, and looked quite angry and irritated, Aditya started his car towards his favorite jewellery shop. It was almost closing time, but when he walked through the doors the manager gave him a smile so bright, that it reminded him of the happydent advertisement or was it center fresh? He didn't ponder over it much, as he approached the manager and asked for the costliest diamond bracelet. In the next five minutes, Aditya had bought the bracelet and was walking out of the shop. Did he see the design? No.  Did he bother to know about the diamonds? No. He just knew that he had spent some hefty amount convince his girl.
