I opened my eyes when I felt a hand going above my head, may be trying to smoothen my stubborn strands and make my hair look less like a bird's nest. I saw my husband smiling at me.
"Good morning," I said."Good morning. Sleep well?"
"Uh-huh," I snuggled closer. "I am soooo sleeepyyyy."
His chest vibrated with the laugh he gave out. Ummm... His voice is so sexy. I wonder how his voice would be when we.....God! what is wrong with you Manya? You and your perverted thoughts. But he is my husband. I can have perverted..
"What is going on in your mind?" He asked, wiggling his eyes, with a knowing smirk.
I blushed and ducked down.
"You are blushing. Now you have to tell me. Come on, what is it?"I tried getting out of his grip but he held me tight. So I did the next clever thing I could think of. Tickle him. Of course, with his strength he flipped me as if i weighed nothing and straddled me and started tickling me.
I started laughing and tried to get away from him.
"Tell me what were you thinking."
"No." I managed to say in between my laughs. Boy! I hope I don't sound like hyena.
He continued his assault.
"Fine! Fine! I will." I gave up when I had to breathe. He stopped. I was heaving, in an attempt to inspire more air. When my breathing became study I looked at my husband who was frozen and had a very dark look. He slowly bent down. He was just about to touch me, when we heard,
"Amma, nana."We stilled when we heard our daughter knock on the door. We immediately got off each other and ran to the door.
Dev opened the door to see muffin and Anna at the door. She looked at both of us and then smirked."Good morning, amma. Good morning nana."
"Good morning, Bangaram." My husband said and picked her up, twirled around and kissed her.
"Wrong time, Annaya?" Anna asked, Oh so innocently, and with the mischievous glint in her eyes.
I blushed and ducked down. God! This is so embarrassing.
"No. Not at all. We were just coming down," Dev said.
His expression so stoic. Like nothing happened. He held our daughter and walked out of the room. Anna followed him but not before winking.
I swear I blushed a shade darker. After I finished my morning business, I walked down to see Anna giving a cup of coffee to her Pedanana.
"I dont want you to go back, kanna." I heard him say.
"Me too, pedanana. But I have work to do." She sat down on the arm rest of her pedanana's chair.
"You know what, let's set up a business here. I will give you the start up."
"Pedanana..."
"Yeah! Anna di ask him for kohinoor diamond, he will buy it for your wedding," Maan said.
"One, it's not for sale. Two, I am not that shallow." Anna said, flipping her hair.
"Three, Ashna Vallabhaneni is much more valuable than a kohinoor diamond," said my husband.
"What about me?" His other sister asked.
"Anya baby?" Amay called out.
"Hmm.."
"Are you hurt somewhere?"
"No why?"
"You fell from the heaven, no?"
