I am sorry for being so late and literally disappearing on you people but I had a hectic schedule and exams,  forgive me,  please.

Recap - Dev and Sona get to know that Layla was the family member that helped Kiran with her kidnapping. They then confront Layla and get to know that Layla who says she was always in love with Dev and whatever she did was to eliminate Sona from his life.  Later Maan blames Dev for Alya's accident. Swetcha who has been Layla's substitute in the office gets to know about some mishap in the office, and informs Manya

Layla!

The one name has been causing too much havoc in my life. Looks like I have to pay her a visit. I waited for the next day to set in,  so I could have the talk with her.  Next morning after my daughter left to get school and my husband to his office inspite of me not wanting him to go, I left to Layla's  place.

Rakesh Anna dropped me off at my destination. I walked into the house and greeted Layla's father. I spoke to him for a while and then asked for Layla. He asked me to go to her room and gave me the directions. I walked into the room and saw her sitting next to the window, her legs folded to her chest and she hugging them. I felt a tug on my heart. After all this is hard for her too. Karma is a bitch it hit her hard. In a day's time she did not have her family's love and her sister is in the hospital. She has been rejected by whom she loved all her life. 

"How long are you going to stare at me Manya.. " she then shifted her gaze to me, put a hand on her mouth and said, "Oops!  Mrs ADRITH Vallabheneni! Do you like to see that I have lost the game? It must be delightful to see that your enemy has been defeated".

I sighed and said,  "I never thought you were my enemy. You were, are family. At least I am trying to believe that you are family. But do you?"

"do I, what? "

"do you believe we are family?"

"never. I will never be your family".

"what about the rest of the Vallabhenenis? "

She let out a dry laugh and said, "Does  it matter? "

"for our further discussion, yes.  Is it just me you hate or the entire Vallabheneni family"

She smiled, and turned away. "A child could possibly be upset with her family but she can never hate them.  Ishwari Attayya has been a mother to me more than my mother has ever been. In spite of the riches, she worked as a high school teacher in one of the schools they owned.  That is why, all the children and their upbringing has been mostly by Attayya. She helped me understand the world, she taught me how to live.  But today, she seems to hate me, just for a woman who is has recently entered the family. I am her blood.  How did she choose you over me? "

I shrugged and said," well you did not make her choice difficult".

If looks could kill I would be six feet under.

"What exactly do you want Manya? "

I threw the papers I collected from Swetcha, on the bed. Layla looked at me skeptically  and then reached out for the file. She opened the file and started reading it.  The way her expressions changed from curiosity to confusion and from confusion to shock, I came to the conclusion that either she is clueless or she is a good actor. Right now I am really weighing my options.

"what the hell is this?"  she shrieked.

"Exactly Layla, what the hell is this? You know after all that happened in our lives, in my life, I still did not blame you for anything. But this,"  I pointed at the file and continued, " this is inexcusable. You have cheated on your family. Dev has given you the highest post just after him to you.  And this is how you pay back? "
