After lunch, Hiccup has gym. Because he had an injury, he had to get a dotor's note to go but to gym. He got it a week ago but never felt comfortable without the crutches. But because he doesn't have them, he will use it.

He walks down the hall to the gym and into the office. He hands the note to the teacher and goes and gets changed. He walks in and he smells sweat and the smell of feet. Not the good kind. (A/N By good kind, I mean the ones that don't smell like mine...)

He goes to His locker and unlocks the locker. He pulls out his gym clothes and gets changed, making sure nobody sees his scars. Once he is done, he looks up and sees Tuffnut and Fishlegs staring at his foot. He shrugs it off and puts on his right gym shoe. He walks out, successfully avoiding Snotlout.

He goes in the gym and walks the five minutes you get to change. He sees Snotlout walking out and realizes that he will never get to avoid him. Snotlout spots him and that's down. He sees the missing limb and walks on.

Hiccup is confused. No snarky remark? No teasing? No hitting? Weird.

The five minutes end and the gym teacher walks out. Mrs. Harris walks out.

"Okay. Today, we are going to do something different. We are going to play nine square. Who knows how to play?" Nobody raises their hand. "Okay then. There are nine squares. There is a ball. The person in the middle will throw the ball up and hit it. The ball is hit only once per square. So if you hit it and it is still in your square, your out. Each time someone gets out, you rotate towards the middle." (The video above will explain better than me. So make sure to watch it.)

They head to the 9 square structure. People race to the middle. Pushing, shoving. But eventually, Snotlout shoves out Tuffnut. Hiccup got in the third square. The last seven squares fill up quickly. Snotlout being him, hits the ball so hard, it shoots under his and out of the structure. He doesn't look happy. People move one square over and a new person comes to the first square.

About ten minutes later, getting out about 5 times, Hiccup is finally in the middle. People call out to him, with hands above them, saying to serve to them first. Hiccup serves to square before getting to the King square. It gets hit and Snotlout manages to slam his hand down on the ball, flying through Tuffnut's square, hitting him in his spot. He groans and covers it up with his hands and kneels down. People snicker. Tuffnut after a few minutes, jumps up, yelling about that being awesome. Hiccup would think other wise.

Hiccup holds the King spot for the rest of the hour. People complain about not getting a turn. At least the attention isn't focused on his foot anymore.

He feels a hand on his shoulder and he stops walking. He turns around and sees Astrid. She doesn't look happy.

"Why didn't you tell me about your foot?"

"What are you talking about?" Smooth...

"Your left foot! It's gone!" That caught people's attention. Hiccup's face is flustered, for having attention turned to him again.

"Don't talk about here." Hiccup says and walks to the boys locker room. He gets changed. He hears the locker room door open again and Snotlout and Tuffnut stalk in. Hiccup quickly gets his shoe on and tries to leave unnoticed. Emphasis on tries. He grabs Hiccup's arm as he walks by.

"I don't have time for this Snotlout. So if your going to hit me just make it quick so I'm not late."

"No Hccup. Its no that. I over heard Astrid and Ruffnut talking. They said you dad left. Is that true?" Tuffnut walked away realizing nobody was going to get hurt.

"Uh...um...I... I don't want to talk about it." Hiccup mumbles, looking down. But being taller than Snotlout doesn't help much.

"Hiccup. I want to talk to you after school. I promise I won't hurt you. Ever. Never again." Hiccup looks up surprised and hesitantly nods. Snotlout nods in confirmation, lets go and walks off. Hiccup walks out if the locker room, still processing what just happened.

Snotlout had just promised to never hurt him again.

He knows about his dad.

And he wants to talk.

About his dad.

Which leads to anything.

Snotlout will wonder who takes care of Hiccup

***

Ello!

BTW: I love playing 9 square.

 So...

Whahcta think?

The video describes how to play it.

Wait...

I already said that...

Oh well. Reminder...

PEACE!

Fact #6: I don't like playing sports with a ball, (minus 9 square) because at some point, the ball will hit my face.
