It has been a month since Hiccup went into a coma. Astrid visits the hospital everyday after school. She stays there all night and leaves in the morning. On weekends, that's where you will find her. The rest come twice a week to visit. Hiccup shows little improvement. Astrid worries he won't wake up. The doctors said that if he doesn't wake up tomorrow then they are pulling the plug. Astrid didn't like the sound of it.

The gang is sitting on Hiccup's room, hoping for him to wake up soon.

"I never realized how much Hiccup has changed." Says Snotlout.

"What do you mean?" Asks Astrid.

"Oh right. You just moved here. Someone may have started a rumor about him and turned the whole school on him. Nobody knows about his life at home, but it seems to get in the way sometimes. "

"Is that someone you, Snotlout?"

"Maybe. But you can try asking what happened at his house but I doubt you will get an answer. He is very private."

Astrid looks at Hiccup. Color is back in his face and she sometimes sees his hand twitch but it's nothing unless he wakes up.

"Who wants to eat?" Asks Tuffnut. Everyone but Astrid stand up. "Aren't you hungry?" Asks Ruffnut.

"No. I'll stay here. He might wake up."

"Do you want me to bring you something?" Astrid shakes her head. They leave and Astrid sits in the side of the bed. She grabs the ball and puts it in his hand again.

"Hiccup. If you can hear me, squeeze the ball if you are trying to wke up." His fingers slightly move. They don't completely circle the ball. Astrid sighs. Then he slowly squeezes it. Astrid smiles. Astrid takes the ball and puts it back. She can't wait for him to wake up.

About an hour later, Ruffnut comes in. "Hey Astrid."

"Hey."

"Why are you so happy?"

Astrid tells her what happened. "Wow. He really is fighting to live. These past few years, everyone has been thinking about him in the wrong way."

"I hope he wakes up so they don't pull the plug." Astrid says while moving hair from covering his eye.

"Wait. So can he hear what we are saying?" I think." Says Astrid.

"What would his parents say if they do pull the plug?" Asks Astrid trying to block the thought out of him dying.

"I don't know. He never mentioned his parents before. None of us have seen or been to his house. I don't think anyone has.  Sometimes I wonder if he has parents."

"Hopefully he has a caring parent or relative besides Snotlout."

They sit in silence for the rest of the evening. Astrid is dreading the next day but can't wait to see what will come. And boy it shocks everyone.

Hey Rolos!

I loved writing this chapter.

Did I make you cry?

If not, I will try harder.

Did I tell you already that I have a bruise on my back now?

If I didn't, then you now know.

I feel bad for being too lazy to update so I will update or start the next chapter tonight and what I don't finish, I will finish tomorrow.

And if I forget, then I am bad at making promises. And update on Monday.

That's all...

Peace!
