All Gone Differnt Ways. [Book 1]

Chapter 4

Astrid gets her cut cleaned out and is able to leave. But Hiccup on the other hand, isn't leaving for awhile. Astrid asked if she could see him but, the doctors said that they need to check over him.

Astrid is in the waiting room, she is calling the group. First Snotlout because the two are related.

*on the phone.*

Hello?

"Hello? Snotlout? It's Astrid.

What's wrong? Why did Hiccup have to leave?

Yeah about Hiccup... We were driving and we got in a car crash.

What?

Yeah. Can you call the rest and tell them to come to the hospital?

Yea sure.

Bye.

Astrid sits back down and waits for an update. An hour later, the others show up. They walk in and see Astrid.

"Is Hiccup okay?" Asks Ruffnut.

"What happened?" Asks Fishlegs.

"Is he okay." Asks Snotlout.

"What happened to your head?"

"Guys stop. Hiccup got more of the impact then me. He is in his room. I haven't been told how he is."

They all sit down. A few minutes later, a nurse comes out. "Is anyone related to Hiccup Haddock?" Snotlout stands up. "The impact from the car knocked out Hiccup and put him in a coma."

"Can we see him?" Asks Fishlegs. He nurse nods and leads us down the hall. She opens a door and let's us in and closes the door. On the bed lays a pale man with cuts on his face with auburn hair. His eyes are closed. There are two seats and everyone finds somewhere to sit.

"I can't believe this." Says Astrid. She feels a hand on her shoulder and sees Ruffnut.

Astrid sees a small blue squishy ball. She gets an idea. "Hey Ruffnut, can you hand me that ball?"

"Why?"

"I am going to try something." Ruffnut shrugs and hands the ball to her. Astrid sits on the edge of the bed and now everyone is watching her. She places the ball in the palm of Hiccup's hand.

"Hiccup... If you can hear me, squeeze the ball." At first nothing happens. Astrid feels devastated. Then his fingers start moving. They start to slowly wrap around the ball.

Astrid smiles. Everyone sees and feels relieved. Hiccup can hear them and is going to be okay. Hopefully.
