“Riley…baby are you okay.” I felt the cold air touching my skin. The embarrassment and humiliation crashing down on me all over again. I was only in my bra but that didn’t matter. I grabbed the sheets to cover myself.
“Ha-hand me my shirt please.” I chocked out. I could still feel Ricky’s hands on my neck…squeezing.
“Baby are you alright?” Lyle mumbled handing me my shirt. I threw it on and stood up.
“I’m fine I just…need a little air.” I said rushing towards the door.
“Riley let’s talk about this!”
“I’ll see you later.”
“Riley!” I closed the door before he could say anything else and I doubt he would come running after me with that boner.
“Hey are you okay?” Dylan asked as he watching me bustle out of the room.
“Tina is dwinking her silly juice again!” River whined.
“Um…yeah I’m fine,” I gulped the feeling of his fingers still firm on my neck. “Is anyone out back yet?” I asked rubbing my neck trying to get the feeling of his tight grip away. Dylan nodded as he took another bite of his pizza.
“Yeah their setting up the fire pit.”
“Okay I’m going to head over to Emma’s I’ll be back later.” I coughed, I could feel his grip getting tighter. I was feeling light headed, I could breath. I fell to my knees couching choking trying to grab for air. You filthy slut! I heard his voice in my ear.
“Riwy!” River jumped off the couch with Dylan and rushed over to me. I pushed myself off my knees and ran out the door before either of them could reach me.
“Riley! Don’t go what’s going on.” I ran to the truck and jamming the keys in the ignition. Dylan ran out the house after me, I sped off before he could even get down the front steps. Liar! Bitch! I trusted you! He’s not here Riley! I loved you! He’s not real Riley! I would have died for you! Shut up! I gave you my world! I love you more than anyone else! Shut up! You’re not here! You’re not real! Your right! You killed me. Stop it! I loved you with everything I had and you shot me! Stop please! Tell me how that’s fair? I could feel his grip loosen around my neck, until he had let go completely. I parked in front of Emma’s house but didn’t move to get out. I couldn’t stop myself from crying. I know he wasn’t real but I could see him clear as day siting next me in this car. There he was blood streaming down his face, with a hole in his head gushing it out.
Staring at me with such sadness…looking so betrayed.
“I always figured our relationship would’ve ended the other way around.” I put my head in my hands let the tears flow out of me.
“Oh god…” I sobbed. “I’m going crazy. You’re dead you can’t be here.”
“But I am. Look at me.” He growled. I looked up at him and cringed at the ugliness of it. “How could you do this to me?”
“You were going to kill me I had no choice.”
“I left everything for you. We were going to run away together, this would’ve been us!”
“No,” I cried. “You were going to shoot me.”
“Only if we were going to get caught. We would’ve been on the run in love together. Just like Bonnie and Clyde. We would’ve been perfect.”
