Waking up to a Beautiful Surprise

1 hour later

Patrick's POV

When the nurses told me that I needed to leave the room immediately I then got really worried. Is my baby okay? Is my wife okay? I needed answers. But then I heard the most beautiful sound ever. My baby was crying. I then knew that my baby was okay but was my wife?

The nurse came to me and said my wife had blacked out from the lack of water in her system but she was stable. That made me feel good knowing that she was okay. The nurse then lead me to my baby. It was wrapped in a pink, white and blue blanket.

"Is it s boy or girl?" I asked the nurse.

"Congratulations it's a girl!"

I was so happy. She looked just like Corey. She had her beautiful blue eyes, my sandy color hair, and Corey's dark skin tone. It was my little Corey. She was so beautiful.

The nurse handed me my baby girl and she was so tiny. I walked to Corey's room to find her awake with all of the family there. When I walked in the our baby in my hands I could see tears forming in Corey's eyes.

"Oh my gosh it's our baby." She said as I handed her the baby.

"It's s girl."

"Patrick, she's beautiful."

We sat there in aw of the baby for what seems like forever. All of the family held her and then soon left. It was just me and Corey there looking at our beautiful creation.

"Patrick what are we gonna name her?"

"I don't know we didn't really talk about names. I guess that would have useful?" I said giggling.

"I know we can name what we were gonna name our first baby. Ileigha Diamond Stump."

"That's perfect." I said kissing Corey's forehead and Ileigha.

The nurse soon after came in so we could fill out the birth certificate.

Time of Birth: 4:56 am

After filling out the birth certificate the nurse said that we would be able to leave later the next day. Me and Corey sat there admiring Ileigha and watcher her sleep. Corey then fell asleep herself so I watched the baby while she slept.

Skipped to the next Day

Corey's POV

I was holding Ileigha as we walked to the car and put her into the back seat. Patrick opened the door like a gentlemen and we then drove home. The car ride was quite but also felt so complete now that we had a baby in the backseat.

We arrived at the house and took everything or of the car and walked toward the house. When we got to the front door and opened it there was an amazing surprise that none of us expected.

"SURPRISE!!!!"

When we opened the door all of our family was gathered around in the living room and they had a bunch of baby things and a little party celebrating that we had a new arrival.

"Awe thanks guys it means a lot!" I said walking in the house holding a little bundle of joy.

"Okay now the big news we all have been waiting for.... Is it a boy or girl?" Joy asked excitedly.

"It's a baby girl."

"Awe guys she's so cute!" My sister in-law Megan says coming towards me.

"I know she's our new little bundle of joy."

"So what's her name?" I hear Pete ask.

"Ileigha. Ileigha Diamond Stump."

"Guys that is so adorable!" Megan says hugging me and kissing the baby.

We spent for what seems a while talking and spending time with everyone after the hospital and then they all soon left. When they left it was just me Patrick and Ileigha.

"Hey do you want me to put the baby down so you can get some rest?" Patrick asked me sitting closer to me and Ileigha.

"Not now she just went to sleep so I'll wait a while before putting her down."

"Okay just come get when your ready I'll be in the kitchen cleaning up."

"Okay."

I was sitting there looking at my beautiful baby girl that me and Patrick made together. She looked just like me and just like Patrick. She had my features and his. I couldn't be more lucky to have a beautiful baby and an amazing husband.

I then waited for about twenty minutes and I put her down for the night. I walked upstairs into her nursery and laid her into her crib. I then heard footsteps come into the room and I felt the warm embrace of my husbands arms wrap around my waist as I was standing over the baby.

"She's so beautiful." He whispers into my ear.

"I know and peaceful."

"Well I think you need to get some rest. Let's go to bed?"

"Yeah let me just put her bag away and I'll be in there."

"Okay." Patrick said giving me a quick kiss.

I put all of her stuff into the places they belonged and turned the light off and went to bed. When I got there I saw Patrick in his black t-shirt and batman pajama pants. I have to say he really did look adorable.

I put on my pjs and laid next to him. I quickly fell asleep thinking about how lucky I was to have such an amazing husband and now a new baby girl. I am the happiest person on earth!
