“Ouch,” I wince and move away from Ty's hand. “You need to toughen up and let me help you. Or you'll walk around looking like a hippo's cheek for two weeks.” she glared at me.
I thought of me looking like a hippo's cheek and didn't like the site. “Okay carry on. Just be gentle...” I say. She continues pressing ice on my face and it hurts so bad.
“I can't believe you just literally beat up Jaden just like that.” Ty says in random.
“Yeah well, I will say that I've always wanted to do that. He is annoying.” I reply and press the ice firmer on my knuckles.
Ty giggles. “If you get called to the principal's office tomorrow please say I helped you whip his ass.”
I look at her and she removes the ice from my face and looks at me. “But you didn't?” I say it more like a statement than a question.
She rolls her eyes. “I would've if I wasn't this tiny. Jaden would've squished me into mince.”
“That's not true.” I roll my eyes. I don't like it when she underestimates what she's capable of doing.
“Oh please, have you seen what he did to you?” she smirks.
“Yeah but I bet you five dollars that he'll be looking worse. And I kicked his balls so hard I'm sure he won't be having sex for months.” I smile and Ty laughs, and then continues pressing ice on my face.
My phone rings. Ty grabs it and hands it to me, and then sits on my bed away from me. I smile at her as a thank you and answer. “Hey?”
“Heard about what happened with Jaden. Are you okay?” Tanae says.
“Wait how did you find out?” I ask.
“Your friend texted me.” she says. I look at Ty and she looks guilty. “Ty texted you?” I ask in disbelief.
“Yeah, she told me what happened. Do you need anything, maybe some pain killers... or a cold one?” we both laugh.
“None of the above but I do need you and a bed though.” I bite my lip.
Ty makes a disgusted face and hits me. “I'm still in the room you know.” she whispers.
Tanae laughs. “Me and a bed huh... your place or mine?”
“I'll come over.” I say. “Okay. Bye.”
I drop the call and Ty immediately kicks me. “What's wrong with you?” she asks.
“You see if you would've used that specific kick on Jaden he would've learnt a thing or two.” I rub my leg because it was genuinely a painful kick.
“You're so gross man.” she makes a disgusted look again.
“What? I'm seventeen I know about sex okay? Leave me alone.”
“You're sixteen. Which reminds me what do you wanna do for your birthday this year?” she stands up and smiles excitedly.
Tyler has always treated my birthday like it was hers. Since we were seven. She's always so excited for it.
“I don't know Ty.” I say.
“Okay then I'll take you somewhere. Just give me four hours with you on the day.” she starts acting like she just saw cake.
“I'll probably spend most of the day with you if Tanae doesn't wanna do anything, anyway. So yeah.” I smile. “Now, let me leave you peacefully and go get laid.”
She rolls her eyes. “When I get it I'm gonna make sure I talk about it for a whole month, I swear. The way you're bragging.” she throws herself onto the bed.
