Ch.11: I Couldn't be

JEN'S POV

It's been about two weeks since I pulled Jade out of school. Next week we go back to filming. I didn't call Jade's tutor yet, so I'll just wait till filming to make her do school work. Our days are filled with cuddling on the couches, pizza, and pure love. Jade misses Mason, but she facetimes him a lot, so I don't worry.

I'm in my room sitting on my bed, when I get a call from Laura. I told her what happened between Josh and I the other day while Jade was asleep. I shut my door and answer the phone. Jade is facetiming Mason and Josh is in the shower, so I don't have to worry about anybody hearing our conversation.

"Hi Jen!" She says exstatic. "Hello." I reply. "So... Remember when we were talking about you and Josh," she says. "Mhm." I respond. "Are you pregnant?" she asks. My immeadiate reaction is laughing. "Laura, You know we always play it safe! We have too much on our hands as it is! We aren't even married yet!" I say. " Ha ha. I still think you should make sure." "There's no point Laura!" I say. "Okay, Okay. Bye! My date is at my house! I met this dude and-" "Bye Laura!" I say and hang up.

"Who was that?" I turn around startled at Josh's voice. "It was Laura." I say. He nods. "What do you want for dinner my love?" He says wrapping his warm and strong hands around me. "Um... How about we order Chinese food?" I say smiling then pecking his lips. He gives me a funny face. "You want chinese food? You never want that!" He says. "Well, today I do!" I say sliding him my phone to call the food place and order our food.

After around an hour of waiting, The chinese food gets here. I run to the door and pay the deliverer. "Jade! Josh! Dinner!" I say grabbing plates. They rush down the stairs and start making their plates. We all sit down and dig in. I stuff my face with noodles, egg roles, and chicken. All of a sudden, I feel sick. I run to the bathroom that's downstairs and almost trip. I make it to the toilet and throw up all the food I just ate. Josh runs after me and rubs circles on my back.

"Are you okay Jen?" He says, his voice soft. I nod and wipe my mouth and brush my teeth. I flush the throw up and then wash my hands. "I'm going to go get some stomach medicine. I'll be right back." Jade and Josh nod. I grab my keys and head to my car. I pull up at a Thorton's gas station. I get out and head inside with my head low and my glasses on. I pick up a pack of pregnancy tests and purchase them. After I buy them, I head to the bathroom there. I undo the box and take out two tests. I do my business on them. I wait for five minutes then open my eyes to see two positive tests. I quickly throw them away and cover them up. I wash my hands and walk out of the gas station.

In my car, I call the doctor's office and make an appointment for tomorrow. I need to tell Josh. I know he's always wanted kids and now he'll have two. That's a reason he makes the perfect Peeta.

When I get home, they know somethings up because my smile on my face shows how happy I am. "Feeling better Mom?" Jade says. "Absolutely!" I laugh and hug her tight. She gives me a strange look, but continnues to hug me. "Josh can I talk to you upstairs?" He does a head tilt then nods. We walk upstairs and shut the door.

"What's the matter Honey?" He says. " Josh. I'm- I'm Pregnant!" I say showing all of my teeth in my wide grin. Josh's face holds the proudest smile. "I love you!" He says. He picks me up and spends me around then we kiss. "I have an apointment tomorrow! Jade can go over Natalie's house and hang out with Mason. I'm not going to tell her just yet." He nods and the rest of the night goes perfect.

We just dropped Jade off and now we are going to the hospital. Josh has been grinning non stop since he heard I was pregnant. Life seriously could not get any better. When we arrive Josh checks me in. "Mr. and Mrs. Hutcherson? This way." I laugh because Josh put hutcherson even though we are still just engaged.

We walk into a room and answer some questions. She tells me to lift up my shirt so that she can see the baby. She puts cold blue gell on my stomach and turns on the screen. Josh is just looking at the screen in anticipation. "Mrs. Jennifer?" She says. "Yes?" I ask. "How long has it been since you've been pregnant?" I think for a moment. "Around two weeks." She looks at me with shock. "I'm not seeing anything... I'm sorry you aren't pregnant. You never were. Sometimes tests are faulty. " She hands me a towel. "You may leave when you're ready. I'm sorry." She says walking out of the room.

Josh looks like he's about to cry. I can tell he's hurting and that he really wanted this, I on the other hand feel numb. Like something has been taken away from me, but it hasnt. He gives me a peck on the cheek and yet I still feel nothing. "Let's go." He says and we walk to my car together with solemn faces.
