Ch.31: Shocked

•••Jen's PoV•••

It's been a week since I kicked Josh out and let me tell you it's been miserable. I can't understand why he has been drinking so much and it hurts. Jade's a really good big sister because she watches Willow a lot. I think she knows I'm really stressed but I can't help it my husband is drinking and whatever else I don't know about. I miss him. As hard as it is to say, I miss him. I miss his kisses, I miss his scent, I miss is warmth, I miss him so much. I cry for hours which makes me feel awful because Jade has to hear it.

"Jade." I call. I hear footsteps then Jade opens the door holding Willow. "Yes Mom?" she asks. "Thank you. Truly. I want to do something special for you. How about movie night with whatever food you want?" I say. Jade's face lights up an she nods quickly. "How about uhm... Subway with ice cream and popcorn with m&ms in them?" She smiles. "Sounds good." I reply. She goes to Willow's room to put her down then goes downstairs to rent a movie off of xfinity.

I shut the door and pull on some clothes. I put on a gray tank top, some blue skinny jeans, and some sperry's along with a coat kinda similar with the one I wore in Silver Linings Playbook. I throw on a beanie over my blonde hair and grab my car keys after putting on sunglasses. I walk downstairs kiss jade on the forehead from behind then walk out the door.

On the way to Subway, I turn on the radio. What the heart wants by Selena Gomez is playing. I immediately turn it onto a CD I have in the CD player. "When you see my face hope it gives you hell, hope it gives you hell!" I sing along to one of my favorite songs.

I pull into Subway and hop out the car. I walk in and wait in line for what seems like only a minute. I order our sandwiches and also grab some cookies and chips. I was the last person in line so I'm sure the girl ringing me up, her name tag says Kathryn, is happy about that. After I pay for the food something hanging in the walk catches my eye. Cheerleading at Cheer Factor sign ups. I take a piece of the sign up slips and sit at a table and fill it out then place it in the tray.

I get up and turn around to say thank you to Kathryn when I'm caught in shock. Kathryn is full on making out with a guy. IIt's kind of a disgusting thing to do in public but.. she can do whatever. When they pull apart to breathe my heart sinks in my chest. "Josh?" I say with tears in my eyes. He looks up at me and I can the he's drunk given his face and the Vodka bottle in his pocket. "You know what? Fuck you!" I say and storm out of the Subway. I notice a grin on Kathryn's face and I immediately feel sick to my stomach. Jade can't know about this. I just have to act like it never happened.
