Ch.8: Love?

••••RAEGANS POV••••

I walk into my room and flop on my water bed. Mom and dad are on business again so it's just me and my yorkie Lola.

I grab my laptop and log in to my Facebook. I end up going to Mason's page because I really miss him. I mean yeah I just saw him, but that's not him. Usually, I look in his eyes and I see the love staring right back into me but lately I've just seen vacancy. When we hold hands, I used to get shivers from feeling the electricity now I just feel the touching of rough skin. I still love him but I don't think he can say the same.

Ever since the filming of Mockingjay Part one started it's been this way. I think there is something going on with Mason and the new girl Jade. I really need to figure it out because I don't want to lose him to this new blonde he apparently knows. I need to become really good friends with this girl so that I can see what's going on. I know the perfect way too. I decide to call her.

•••Jades POV•••

I'm lying on my bed playing a game called white tiles when my phone starts ringing. Raegan's contact pops up. I really don't want to answer, but might as well. I slide the answer thingy over and say hello. "Hey girl! I was wondering if you wanted to come over? I mean we live on the same route so it can't be that far!I really could use some company!" She says excitedly. I really don't want to go, but I know Jen will force me to. "I have to ask my mom, but I know she'll say yes." I say. She gives me her address and I pack with my school clothes for tomorrow. Jen gets really excited when I tell her and she grabs her keys and we head out.

When we arrive at the house that's only a little smaller than mine, I see Raegan outside wearing white shorts, black toms and a black crop top. She's holding a small white dog in her hands and walks over to her car. She opens my door for me and starts to say something to Jen but gets tongue tied because she apparently didn't know who my mother was.

Jen leaves and Raegan shows me inside. She gives me a quick tour then we head upstairs to her room. I set my stuff down at the door and take a seat on her bed. "I'm so glad you could come." she smiles strangely and takes a seat next to me.
