Jen's still in a coma. It's been about three days now. It's really lonely without her humor and laughter. Most of the days have been filled with silence and sniffling. I on the other hand talk to her like she's listening.
"Dad? I know you're having a rough time with this. I am too believe me! She's my mother for goodness sake! AND I just witnessed two people die. We can't stay here for the rest of our lives! We have to live!" I say looking into his dark brown eyes.
"I guess you're right. I just don't want Jen to wake up and us not be here or her not wake up and not be here for her final moments! I can't live without her! She's my Katniss to my Peeta, My penut butter to my jelly, my heart and my soul. You and her are everything to me! You are my family! You are my loves. Without ya'll my life would be incomplete. Life wouldnt be worth living!" He says.
"Same for me Josh! Let's go home! Let's go to the house and shower! We should also grab some food, I'm really tired of hospital food! Jen is looking over us Josh! She is right there!" I say pointing to her. He slowly nods. I move to go get my sweater I was wearing when kidnappped. I really want to get out of these ragged, gray sweats and white T-shirt. Josh is still wearing his jean button down and some jeans with a leather jacket.
"The cab should be here in five minutes." He says. I blink in response. "Mom," I whisper. "I'll be back soon." I say. I lean in and kiss her head. Josh looks like he might cry. He heads over to Jen. "I love you..." He says and places a kiss on her lips. "When you wake up, We're going to get married...and..and.. go on a honeymoon and be together forever." He just nods to himself and let'd go of Jen's hand he was holding.
We walk to the elevators hand in hand. It's silent, but in a comforting way. We head down to the lobby and get in the yellow cab. On our way home I close my eyes and imagine Jen and I swimming at the beach. I told her when she wakes up she has to take me. I love her so much and none of that is ever going to change.
