Ch.20: Finding Him

•••Jade's PoV•••

I rush and get dressed frantically. I cannot believe Josh would do something like this. I can tell it's breaking her down. Once I find my high top red converses, I rush to see Jen grabbing her set of keys. I go to the door and notice it's open. I decide to go ahead and walk to the car. Jen follows closely behind.

Once we get to the parking lot we notice the car isn't there. "Shit." Jen mumbles under her breath. "He took the car!" my eyes widen in horror. "Um, come with me we can get our hats and sunglasses." she says as we head back inside.

We decide to walk instead of getting a cab. Josh could be anywhere! We don't even know why James was in Paris! Josh could be hurt. I need to find him.

We start to walk and for a while no one notices, but slowly people start to notice. Jen mostly just ignores them crushing their dreams or just waves and says not now sorry. I wish that she wasn't famous sometimes, but it's her dream. It's what she's good at.

After looking and looking, I see a tear slip down Jen's face. "Are you okay mom." I say. "Yeah. I'm fine." she mumbles scrunching up her nose.

We eventually get hungry and go to a sports diner. We walk in to see Josh. Sitting with a drink in his hand. "Josh outside. Now!" Jen yells making the whole place quiet. He seems a little sober now, but I can't really tell.

We walk outside and that's when it begins, the arguing. "What the hell was that Josh? How could you be so fucking irresponsible!" she yells. He just looks at her. "You can't do that to people. I-I was so scared that I was going to lose you." She sobs into his chest. Josh stands there with tears in his eyes. "Jade, c'mon." he says motioning for me to join the hug.

We stand here for the longest time listening to my sniffles and Jen's cries and sniffing the smell of Josh's clothes.

Standing there I start to think. We left and the door was open. While getting dressed I didn't hear the familiar sound of a bell. Where's Alex?
