JA'KIYA

The sound of my phone broke me out of the zone I had gotten in while packing up my room.

Not paying attention to the Caller ID I answered putting them on speaker then went back to emptying out my dresser.

"Ja'Kiya?" Zed's voices oozes out the speakers slightly startling me, it sounds deeper than usual

We've been talking more since the day at the park, most of time Zed's being an ass other times he's really nice.

"Yes?"

"You moving in with my brother?"

"No he's moving in with me"

"That's the same shit"

"I wanted it to be Lani but Aziel said no, Yaze was there so I asked him. Are you upset?"

"Why him? You ain't no other friends?"

"I do but they aren't people I would want to see everyday"

"But my brother is?"

"It's not like that Zed, I'm not interested in Yaze. He's Lani's guy and I'm not that kind of woman who messes with my bestfriends boyfriend. His sole purpose is to be my roommate on paper so I can move out"

"Mm"

Remembering something I fished around for the children place bag I sat down somewhere.

"Zed?"

"Yeah"

"I went shopping and got Nia a few things, should I give them to Yaze or. . ."

"I'll come get it just send yo addy"

"Okay"

"You need help with anything?"

"Mm not at the moment, my furniture is being delivered today at five. I'm most likely going to need help then"

"Alright"

"Who's that? That's Kiya?" I heard in his background as I sent over my parents address

"No" Zed mumbles

"Oh well tell that crusty bitch I said fuck you"

"Oh, oh wow" I mutter in shock

There was muffled noises then I heard my phone beeping, looking at it I realized he was tryna FaceTime me.

A mini panic attack took place as I puffed my hair before answering.

Jayla mugged on the other end smacking her lips rolling her eyes.

"Zedadiah really be lying for free, hey Kiya"

"Hi"

She went from standing to laying on her ass in seconds, Zed kicked her feet from underneath her taking back his phone.

"Damn " my jaw dropped seeing Jayla get up and attacking him, I watched in shock as they went back in forth fighting. "chile"

Jayla was throwing real blows mad as hell whereas Zed was pushing and slapping her grinning.

"Stupid bitch!" Jayla yells punching him in his chest, laughing Zed pinned her into a headlock hitting the top of her head. "get the fuck off me"

"Zed let her go"

Glancing at the phone he rolled his eyes doing as told.

"Kiya break his fucking heart for me" Jayla bucks at him one last time then leaves. "Nia guess what? Zed talking to Kiya on the phone"
