"Hello again." The blonde woman smiles devilishly, "Now it's time for some fun." She pulls two pairs of handcuffs from her pocket and dangles them off of her finger, "James!"

He is immediatley at her side, handcuffing me before unlocking the shackles and forcefully pulling me up from the ground. They repeat the process with Annie before pushing us out the door and into a corridor.

"Aunt Reese I'm scared." She whispers behind me.

I am too.

"Just keep quiet, Patrick will be here soon."

Please.

"Shut up!" The blonde yells and turns around to slap me across the face.

"Bitch." I whisper under my breath but still loud enough for her to hear, my cheek starting to redden.

"Oh, He will most certaintly have fun with you."

Let Him try.

We keep walking down the corridor until we come to another door. The blonde opens it and she and James push Annie and I inside.

"Have fun you two." The woman laughs before walking away, leaving us trapped again.

This room was different than the first one. It was larger, colder. There were four chairs set up in a square, each with five long pieces of rope attached at the head rest, and both arms and feet.

"Jane." I manage to whisper out, reaching to my chest as best I can and bringing the cross to my lips, "Please find us."

I open my eyes and look to Annie, she's pulling her long, dark hair into a pony tail. What the hell?

She looks to me and rotates in a circle, her hair whipping around quickly, she's definetly smart. I follow her lead before rushing towards the chairs and attacking the rope. Maybe we can make a tripwire.

Annie and I fumble with the ropes, the handcuffs chaffing my wrists. I feel them start to bleed but I could care less, we need to get out. I manage to get one of the ropes around the headrest untied and it's all I can do not to cheer with excitement.

I hear the door start to unlock and I tie the rope back in place before pushing Annie into the corner. I stand in front of her, shielding her body from whatever monster comes through that door.

"Hello Teresa. It's been a while, you're hair looks nice. Good change." A familiar voice greets but I can't identify it. Come on, Teresa. The lights turn on and I squint to focus at the man in front of me.

"Volker." I hiss, this is not good.

"Well hello to you too." He smiles, walking towards us, "Please dear, do move. I'd love to see your niece."

"Never!" I spit. I know what he's capable of, I'm not letting him near her.

"Don't you remember what happens to those that disobey?" He asks joyfully, now within arms reach of Annie and me.

"Do whatever you want." I reply sternly, "But you won't hurt us, Red John wants us unharmed."

"And how do you know I'm not Red John?" He reaches up and cups my face with his hands. I pull away in disgust but he brings my face back to look at him, "Don't you know I could be." He whispers and my body starts to shake.

This man, he's the thing nightmares are made of.

"Do it." I command, "If you're going to kill me, just do it. I'm ready." I lie, my voice shaking slightly, "Just tell me how."

"How? I'm glad you ask!" He spins around theatrically before grinning at me, "McAllister, puh-lease." He starts pacing around the room, making me even more scared, "How would a little man like him have all this?" He motions with his hands to the building we were in, "I've got it all. Money, a successful buisness, I even did my time in prison. People wanted to be like me. The came to me asking to be accepted into the association. There are so many of us. He'll never be able to find them all, especially without your help." He laughs, nearly singing the last word, "But me, no." He shrugs, "I'm not Red John. just a loyal, hm, friend if you will. Red John, he's been waiting for so long to have his way with you. He is very eager."

He smiles and walks towards the door, waiting for someone to open it. Before the guard knows he's at the door, my arms go over his shoulders, the chains on my handcuffs wrapping around his neck. I pull him back forcefully as he kicks at me but he soon becomes weak. I listen for his breathing when Annie rushes over to me. Nothing.

"Aunt Reese!" She cries, "You, did you, is he?"

"Just unconcious." I shake my head, "Help me check his pockets!"

We start rummaging through his pockets but to no avail. We had to get out of here, now.

I carefully stand Volker's body upright and push him towards the door, "Get behind me!" I whisper-yell to Annie, this had to work.

I hear the door unlock and wait until I see the guard, "Annie, run!" I push Volker's unconcious body into the guard, Annie and I running down the corridor as fast as we can. I hear the guard yelling for help and a crack rings out as I hear him fire his gun. We have to keep running. Annie takes a left turn down another corridor when I feel a burning sensation in my right ankle. I slow down just long enough to realize that I'm shot. I can't stop. We have to keep going.

We run up a flight of stairs and burst through two doors before we finally escape. We're in the forest, and it's dark. My foot is burning and I can feel the muscles straining to bear my weight. My pants leg was covered in blood and a puddle was forming where we had stopped. I quickly take off my belt and tighten it around my leg, a whimper escaping. They can't find us, we have to keep running.
