Ten's POV
Well, things are going just great. WayV has entered Yeona's apartment, and within seconds, they're already being chaotic enough to annoy both her and her neighbors.
Luckily, Yeona's chaos tolerance seems pretty high. I mean, even the fact that she's put up with WayV until now is quite impressive to me.
Unfortunately, it seems like Yangyang has something up his sleeve. He's been whispering with Hendery and Xiaojun this whole time, as if planning something. I have no clue as to what it is, but it had better not be something bad.
I turn my attention from him to the conversation, just in time to hear Hendery saying, "Yeah, we're here to see Luna and Yeona. Who, by the way, probably likes me the most-"
I want to say something, but at the same time, I know that isn't a smart move, especially if I want to keep what's left of my sanity. So I shut my mouth, wondering how this is going to go down.
The sentence that catches my attention is "Isn't it obvious that she likes Tae the most, though?" I act unaffected, although I'm secretly glad for Xiaojun saying that. Observing Yeona, I can see that she's avoiding the question. I have no idea why, but hopefully, it isn't for a bad reason.
Honestly, I have no idea what we're even here to do, but I'm not complaining. I might as well ask about Luna to save her from answering, which she obviously doesn't want to do. "Yeah, definitely. Anyways, how has the training with Luna been going?"
Just as Yeona's about to respond, fear flashes in her eyes, accompanied by a flash of red out of the corner of my eye. Turning around, I see that there's a balloon. I have no idea how it got in here, but it needs to get out.
Holding the balloon is none other than our troublemaker maknae, Yangyang. I really shouldn't have told him about Yeona's fear of balloons, because look what it's led to.
"Wait, is that a balloon? In my apartment? Get that away from me!" Yeona exclaims, scrambling away and hiding around the wall of her kitchen in a panic.
I suppress a laugh. It's funny seeing her react like this, especially because she's almost always acting all chill and unbothered and never says much, and then here she is, hiding from a red balloon.
"Okay, but Yangyang, how and why did you bring that in here?" I ask, trying to recall whether or not he was holding a giant balloon while we were walking here.
He shrugs. "It was in my pocket, and I just blew it up. Anyone want to play a game of Monkey In The Middle? Or we could just tap it around, if you want?"
Yeona gives me a look, as if begging for me to somehow get the balloon out of her apartment. After thinking for a moment, I step forwards, lifting my hands into the air. "Sure, I'll play. Pass it to me."
As soon as the balloon is in my possession, I use my fingers to quickly untie the knot and allow the balloon to deflate. I did consider popping it with a pencil, but that just wouldn't be right.
Yangyang stares at me, looking disappointed. "You deflated my balloon."
"Yeah, I deflated the balloon, because somebody has a fear of balloons," I respond, discarding the balloon and quickly washing my hands.
"Look at Tae, protecting-"
"Getting rid of a balloon-"
"Protecting his-"
"Tae getting rid of a balloon-"
"Protecting his soon to-"
"Tae getting rid of a balloon for Yeona."Kun and Chunmei manage to tame the rest of WayV, who are obviously trying to say something that we don't need to hear.
"Thanks," Yeona says, probably slightly embarrassed by the ridiculous fear.
I laugh. "You're welcome, but I still can't believe you're afraid of balloons."
"Do you want an apple?" she asks, randomly selecting an apple from a wooden bowl on her counter and waving it in front of me.
"No!"
