Yeona's POV
It's been a week or so since I met Tae, a few days since he saved me from a terrifying balloon and we managed to avoid crisis. No, I'm not being dramatic. I really am scared of balloons, and he really is scared of fruits. That's just the way it is.
He's somehow incorporated himself into a part of my daily life, which is quite an impressive feat. I still spend a large part of my morning practicing digital art techniques, but it no longer occupies my full morning.
The second part is spent either hanging out with him at his apartment with his friends, or my place. It's, well, comfortable and refreshing. And a lot of fun. Is this what socializing looks like?
After an hour or so, I reluctantly leave for lunch, and head to work. This is where things get annoying and not so fun. And it's all because of that one rat, Haeyoung.
No, things aren't getting any better with her. Sure, she started semi-doing her job after I nicely threatened to get her fired, but she's obviously only a part-time café worker and a full-time useless question asker.
It's always the same question about "seven handsome guys". Over time, the question has developed details, such as "a group of seven handsome Chinese guys with great fashion sense wearing masks".
And yes, the description is getting increasingly close to my impression of Tae and his friends. I'm still unable to believe that she's referring to them, though, especially because she hasn't mentioned how chaotic they are.
In fact, if she had upped the description to "a group of seven handsome mask-wearing guys who are incredibly chaotic", I would've immediately known who she was talking about because of the giveaway detail. But she's not saying that.
I don't know how much longer I can put up with this human trying to stalk the poor boys she's looking for, but I'm starting to want to get her out of here, and fast.
This is what I'm thinking about as I'm taking the elevator up to Tae's apartment with Luna in her crate... What on earth do I do with this Haerat?
"Hey Yeona," a voice suddenly greets, making me jump. Tae is standing with his apartment door open, as if he's been waiting for me. Not really normal, but it's alright.
"Hi," I respond, stepping into the apartment and setting Luna down on the floor. She, Louis, and Leon have also become much closer than they were before, which makes me a pretty proud cat mom. Look at my cat, becoming more social, just like me.
Once Luna has been released to run around with her two friends, I greet the rest of Tae's friends, who have probably grown quite used to my presence. They're, well, being chaotic, as usual. And I'm also more used to them by now.
I can't help but notice that Tae seems like he has something to say, but doesn't want to say it just yet. I'll just not ask about it and wait for him to bring it up.
"Oh, Luna learned 'Turn' the other day," I randomly tell him, watching as she pounces on a toy mouse and then onto Leon, who returns the attack.
Tae nods, then seems to decide that it's time to mention whatever is on his mind. "So, Yeona, I have something to explain to you."
I turn towards him, curious. "Yeah?"
"Do you know what kpop idols are?"
