His fingertips brushed the soft, rosy skin, curiously touching the little hairs that escaped his beanie. It was softer then he had guessed with dyed hair."Should we wake him?" Zara whispered, curiously looking over the shoulder of RJ to see the small boy fast asleep.
"It's pretty late, maybe he can sleep here?"
"I will bring him home, he's not staying RJ." Yara mumbled sleepily from the other side of the couch, making the once exited wolf pout.
He looked back down at the sleeping beauty and sighed. "It sounds like you're about to fall asleep, I will bring him home." He mumbled, his fingers brushing Yuri's cheek again.
"Stop being creepy, what if he wakes up." Yara mumbled, her head placed on Zara's lap while her eyes were focused on her sleeping friend.
RJ was about to pull his hand away, as she had a point, but just then Yuri unconsciously moved more into his touch, a slight purring sound making the three wolves look at the small boy in confusion. RJ watched with open mouth as Yuri buried his face into the palm of his hand, the soft purring continuing loudly into RJ's ears.
"Is he making that sound?" Zara asked, the first one to break the shocked silence. "It sounds like what a cat does."
"Purring." Yara mumbled, now more awake then before as she was laying over Zara's lap to look more closely. "He's purring."
"What? —How?"
Yara shrugged her shoulders and rolled off the couch to squat down next to the sleeping Yuri. She was fascinated, to say the least, and slowly sniffed him. RJ frowned, not really liking the way how close she got to his little mate.
"He smells like a human, but not really. —RJ you try."
RJ leaned more over the small Yuri to properly smell him for the first time. His nose was close to his face as he sniffed the air, his scent letting him hum in delight. "He smells so good." He smiled sheepishly, ignoring the rolling eyes of his sister as he took another whiff.
Yuri started to stir and before anybody could do anything, his sleepy eyes fluttered open, only to find RJ's face right in front of him. His breath got caught in his throat while he stared wide eyed at the boy above him, heart hammering against his ribs painfully fast. RJ quickly backed away and spluttered out an apology, feeling embarrassed.
Yuri crawled away from him and quickly sat up, his face red like a tomato. Yara tried to come up with an excuse of why the hell her brother was sniffing him like that, but before she could, the small boy muttered that he had to go to the bathroom, almost running as he went, leaving them defeated in the living room.
"What should I do? He probably thinks I'm a creep now!" RJ whispered in a panic, already standing up to go after him.
"Wait —RJ!" Yara yelled, but the werewolf was already gone. She groaned and slapped her forehead, not knowing what to do. She couldn't stop him, really, this was his decision. It was his mate.
"You think we need to go after him?" Zara softly asked, a little unsure.
"I think... we need to be ready to help out Yuri when he wants to go home." She mumbled. "Can't stop RJ now."
Yuri breathed heavily as he hid himself in the bathroom, the room he found after opening every single door he came across. He skin crawled as he thought back at how close they all had been to him a few seconds ago, his little panic attack only getting worse by the memory. He threw his beanie across the room and gripped his hair tightly, slowly crouching down trying to calm himself. It was alright, nothing happened. But why had RJ been so close to him? Why had everybody looked at him like that? Did they see anything?
