Chapter - 05

Yuri opened up more and more to Rae and his friends, the guys seeing the little male as their own little brother. Werewolves always had a special bond with each other, so seeing them loving a 'outsider' was great to see for a dominant wolf like Rae and Yara.

Yuri was currently giggling softly as Zara was showing off in a videogame, not giving Rae's little mate any change of winning. Thomas, a good friend of Yara and Rae, laughed loudly when he tickled Zara, causing the other to yelp and lose concentration. This let to Yuri slowly closing in on the game, almost beating him, but not quite.

Rae chuckled from next to Yuri, a standard blush on his cheeks whenever he was around Yuri. The smaller male leaned into him when Zara and Thomas started to wrestle with each other, letting Rae give the opportunity to wrap an protective arm around Yuri. Though not really touching him fully, just slightly brushing his shoulder and arm. Still a little hesitant to touch his shy little mate, not wanting to scare him away just as he was so close to stealing his heart.

He saw how the smaller male looked at him when he thought he wouldn't notice. It was obvious he felt the mate bond, slowly falling more and more, just like Rae had fallen for him. It was exciting to Rae, knowing that after these two weeks of friendship, he got a chance of winning his heart.

Yuri giggled again, almost falling into his lap when the two wolves went a little overboard. They eventually fell onto the floor and playfully fought for dominance. Yuri's body stayed plastered against the older male, not noticing how close they were, just enjoying the warmth and his friends playing around before them.

Rae smiled happily, the arm that was resting behind Yuri on the couch itching to wrap itself around his warm body, pulling him closer. He wouldn't, though. Wanting Yuri to be the first to show a signal he wanted to overstep the line between friendship and something more.

Yuri's blue eyes flickered around to his, staying there for a few seconds when he finally noticed how close they'd gotten. A blush dusted his cheeks, but he didn't move, or couldn't. His heart beating louder as always when those dark orbs locked with his, a warm gaze lingering in them. He shyly smiled up at the older, the shoulder that was pressed against his chest burning with tingles, a weird sensation he noticed he only had with this boy.

Rae breathed a smile, his eyes flickering down at those kissable lips before looking back up at those beautiful eyes, but didn't do anything more then that. Though Yuri noticed the little movement, getting the hint the older wanted the younger to understand. He blushed and turned away from him, his hands hiding in his sleeves nervously.

"Guys, food is ready!" Yara yelled from the kitchen, making the two guys still on the floor stop instantly and ran towards her.

The other two followed silently, settling down at the table full with delicious smelling food. Yuri moaned in hunger when he saw the pasta before him, making Rae smile. He had told Yara to make some pasta for Yuri, knowing he would love it.

The hungry five ate in silence until the plates were almost empty, the conversation starting as soon as the stomach was full enough.

"So, summer vacation is coming soon. What do you guys want to do?" Yara asked. "Wanna go somewhere?"

"Maybe we could use the old cabin from miss's Walson?" Thomas suggested, referring to his neighbor. "She told my parents she doesn't really use it anymore, something about it not being the same without her husband. Maybe we could stay over there for a while? It's close to a river if I'm correct."

"Sounds great." Yara beamed, turning to Yuri. "Will you come too, Yuri?"

Yuri stiffened in his seat, a little unsure. His tail and ears needed some freedome every now and then, something that probably wasn't going to happen when they were all there with each other. He scrunched in nose, biting his lower lip as he thought about it. Maybe he could try... though he wouldn't be able to swim with them. Which was a bummer, really.
