I was walking down the street when I felt someone touch my hand. I sighed realizing that it was Elijah, yes he was still here. On the last day of ritual, vampires and wolves attacked our pack. After Liam saw how much Elijah worked to keep our pack safe he offered him a place to live. Elijah gladly accepted it and Liam hired him as my bodyguard. These last five months had been enough to drive me crazy with both Liam and Elijah at each other's throats at times and the constant attacks on different packs. I was currently five months almost six months pregnant with twins and it was taking a toll on my body. I could only manage to make it to the cafe and back home and sometimes not even that far. At times I got pains that were literally unbearable to handle but I never complained, I just kept going. Just like any other day the town was going on like normal until the gates opened and we heard.
"A human-kind was found on our grounds. A human- kind was found on our grounds."
Elijah watched as the female was dragged into the town. She looked amazed by everything here as if she had been here before. Everything around me froze when I heard Mandy say,
"Lexi?"
"Mandy! You remembered me." Lexi said happily.
Great another problem. I didn't understand why everytime I turned around there was something else to battle. Elijah placed his hands on my shoulders before saying,
"Don't get stressed, Angel. That's the last thing you need right now."
"I know Eli, I'm just..... I don't even know anymore." I said.
He sighed deep in his thoughts as the people all stopped letting me know that Liam had seen his long lost love. I took a few steps and saw his face showing nothing but anger. The whole street fell silent as Lexi smiled before running into his arms. I felt my anger rise in me as he just stood there. I walked down the street and got close enough to hear their conversation.
"I'm sorry Liam. I've searched for you everywhere. That day I was just overwhelmed. I've missed you so much." She cried out.
"Get off of me. I gave you a choice and you chose to leave." He said coldly.
"L-Liam I know you still love me because I love you." She cried out.
The whole street gasped when he threw her to the ground. His growl filled the whole land as his eyes turned red. I pushed through the crowd but it was getting harder as I reached the front I fell and called out,
"Alpha!! Stop it before you do something you regret. Stop it please." I begged, gaining his attention.
He snapped out of his trance as Elijah helped me up. Elijah growled at me as I sighed. Liam growled louder before walking over and sweating me off my feet.
"I said no running. You could've hurt yourself." He said as he kissed my forehead.
"I'm fine babe. I'm just very tired." I expressed in a hurt tone.
Liam furrowed his eyebrows as he kissed my forehead before carrying me home. When we were there he took me to the sofa and laid me down before kissing me.
"Elijah will come in a few minutes. I have to get rid of her." He said as I nodded my head.
I didn't know where our relationship had gone wrong but lately we had been drifting away from each other. He was busy protecting the pack and I was here with Elijah most of the time getting the nursery together. The door opened and I saw Elijah coming in with food.
"I brought your food. I know you are going to be hungry." He said as I nodded my head.
"Hey don't do that. It hurts me to even see you like this." He said as he wiped away the tears that had formed in my eyes.
