Talking to Clarke yesterday made me feel so much more confidant. I woke up less tired than usual and even made special pancakes for Aden before dropping him off, with a kiss, at the childcare center.

As I made my way to school from there, I bumped into Clarke and we got chatting just like we used to before I left.

"Good morning, Clarke. How come you're walking to school so late?" I asked her.

"Oh, Hi. I was  just at the childcare centre a few minutes away and, I guess I lost track of time." She looked very tired, Like she was overworking herself.

The way her eyes shined in the morning sun reminded me of a time way back when things were a lot better.

Flashback

The sunrise glowed beyond the horizon, like a torch showing the way to a lost traveller. We had stayed up all night just to see this moment... It was magnificent. I wish every day was like this; her head leaning against my shoulder, arms wrapped tightly around my chest. I felt like Clarke was never going to let me go - and I didn't want her to.

I glanced at her eyes that were reflecting the aura of colours blended into the beautiful sky. I realised at that moment just how much I loved her. She was amazing and so gorgeous.

Just before we arrived at the school gates, I saw a trickle of red run from her nose.
"Um... Clarke. I think you're nose is bleeding. Have a tissue!" I handed her the tissue.
" oh thanks! " she replied. "I've been getting them more frequently lately. Maybe I'm just stressed."
Maybe. I keep getting the feeling that something is wrong. Clarke has dark circles under her eyes and looks like shes about to pass out.
"Do you need to sit down? Let's go to my place, it's not that far away. Here have some of my water."
I was really worried about her. This was supposed to be a leisurely walk to school but now she's gone all pale and weak.
We arrived at my house about 10 minutes later and as soon as I opened the door... Clarke collapsed inside. I didn't know what to do with her passed out on the floor; I dialled 911 and waited for them to tell me what I needed to do.
