Chapter 15

- Lexa - 

We had slept in the same bed together before but this time just felt... different somehow. Like, our feelings seemed to make the atmosphere more comfortable and more romantic. I had never realized that just laying together was something that made me want more. Yet I was still more than happy to just be here.
I wasn't sure what Clarke was ready for so I was willing to wait until she wanted to go further. Until she told me, and asked, I was only going to do little things like hold her hand and hug her.
I also didn't know if her family and friends knew she was gay. That would mean she wouldn't be public with us, whatever is was.
It was a while later that Clarke started to wake up. It was so adorable. She gave a little start and stirred. I never knew that just by looking at someone you could feel like this. Like the whole world could be burning but I would still spend all my time with her. Clarke is the only thing worth living for, and the only thing worth dying for. She deserves everything and I will do everything I can to give her that.
Clarke rolled over, looked me in my eyes and smiled, the kinda smile that takes you into a whole new world.
"Good morning, Lex. "
"It is a good morning, Clarke. Did I wake you, I was trying to be quiet?"
" No, it's okay. What time is it, we have to be in school today."
"I mean... We could always call in sick again"
She looked shocked.
"But what about all the work we're missing out on?"
" i was kidding. If you're sure you're up to the task, we can go into school. It's not for another hour. "
"What should we do with that time?" Clarke yawned.
"Maybe we should just stay in bed."
" great idea, Lex" she cuddled up to me and we just laid there until it was time to get ready.

- Clarke -
It was so nice being with Lexa. She knows how to make me feel special. I was quite scared to tell everyone but Lex doesn't deserve to be hidden. She would never do that to me so I won't do that to her either.
I know Raven and all my other close friends only want me to be happy. But Bellamy... I don't even want to think about the things he might say or do. He always had a crush on me and constantly tried to get me to go on a date with him. Every time I told him we were just friends. I only put up with him because Octavia needed him around her; without him she would be reckless and uncontrollable.

I had some of my clothes with me so I got changed into jeans and a plain white t-shirt. I also added a denim jacket and heeled boots.
"You look amazing, princess"
That nickname always means more when it comes from Lex. I never noticed it but she always called me "princess" when she was flirting with me.
" Not as good as you though"
I was right. She was wearing black jeans, a black drip top and a leather jacket. Damn that girl could look good in anything.
" So, we need to stop by the centre before. I would like to see Aden but other than that, anywhere you want to stop? "
" I'm cool with going to the centre. And preferably the coffee shop...? " I gave her a little smile.
"You and your coffee. Fine."
We got coffee and donuts and then drove to the childcare centre.
"Have you ever thought about getting your own place?" Lex asked me.
I had thought about it before. And I told her the truth.
"Yes, a lot. But it would feel very lonely. I was planning on being roomates with  Rae when I go to college but now, I'm not sure. "
"Would you... I mean, would you consider--"
"Would I consider what?"
" Nothing. We're here! "
I wonder what Lex was gonna ask me. I was baffled. I've never seen Lex so lost for words before, she's always been the confident one.
I waited by the doors whilst Lex went to find Aden. When I saw Maya, I went and talked to her.
" Hey"
"Hey back, girl. You haven't been around much!"
" i know! I've been ill and busy. I might have to stop volunteering. "
"Oh no! That's so sad. May I ask why?"
" just family stuff. I don't have much free time anymore. "
"OKay, well I'll let the boss know. Glad to know that your well now though. See ya"
" Byee"
Lexa was waiting by the car when I got back.
"I'm going to stop volunteering here."
" is it because of me? "
"No, I'm just busy now that I'm spending time with you. Also I think I was doing too much work anyway. What were you asking me in the car? "
Lex looked uncomfortable.
"Um... Well... I was wondering if maybe you would want to get a place with me. Like to live in, you know. We could be... Roomates?"
"Lex, I-"
