"Yo Shae are you ready to go?"

Pete yelled at me from the kitchen while I was in the bathroom attempting to fix my hair and do some sort of makeup.

Colson's band was preforming in a small bar downtown so I didn't really need dress up or anything special. But I thought I should do a little something to fix my normal appearance.

For some fucking reason, god blessed me with a look where I always seemed tired and looked like I never slept. Yet this is something Pete and I had in common.

"Sorry, sorry I'm done." I say walking out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where Pete was leaning against the counter.

"Thank fuck." He says taking his eyes off of his phone and slipping it into the back pocket of the jeans he was wearing.

"You look nice." I say looking him over.

He was wearing a pair of ripped jeans, a plain white t-shirt, with a blue flannel over it. He wore some simple silver necklaces along with a couple of rings on his fingers.

"Thanks, I could say the same to you."

I smiled sweetly. I didn't go all out on the outfit, just a simple pair of ripped mom jeans, a white cropped tank top, and a pair of black high top converse.

I was hoping my hair and the little bit of makeup would suffice for the low effort on the outfit.

"Alright let's fucking go or we're going to be late." Pete says pushing himself off of the counter and twirling his car keys around his finger.

I followed Pete out of the house and into his all to familiar car. Climbing into the passenger seat I watched as Pete pulled out of the drive way and into roads of the neighborhood. Soon making it on the actual streets.

"This might sound stupid, but is Colson's music actually good?" I ask turning to look at Pete. I guess I should have listened to some of his bands stuff before seeing him perform.

"I mean I like it. It's like a modern version of punk rock music. So I mean if your into that stuff then you'll probably like it."

His eyes direct towards mine before looking back at the road.

"Okay cool." I say simply.

About 20 minutes later and we had parked outside of the bar that Colson and his band were performing at.

Downtown here was fairly boring. Just a couple of bars and stores. Nothing crazy. Normally the evenings were the busiet time for people to come downtown. Whether they were shopping, eating, or just walking around.

Pete and I both got out of black vehicle and walked towards the bar.

Opening the glass door, Pete stepped aside letting me enter first.

"Thanks."

He returns a small smile before following me in.

The lights of the bar were dim and neon signs captured my eyes. I had never been to this bar before. But granted I don't really come downtown that often.

Looking around I finally find Megan, Claire, and Liv sitting at a table near the small stage where Colson would soon be.

Megan catches my eye and waves at me. Pete and I walk over to the table and immediately Megan attacks me with a hug.

"Bitch oh my god I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." She exclaims releasing me from the hug.

"Meg it's only been a couple of days." I say laughing
