ch. 18: Toby's secret

Mona, Aria, Spencer and Hanna are walking back home from a double date talking and laughing Spencer has noticed how quite Aria is being all night

'Aria you ok, you been quite all night long?' Spencer asks

'I was going to ask her the same thing but I didn't want my head to get bitten off' Mona says, they laugh, they look at Aria

'It's just feels weird that we're not getting hunted down by 'A' anymore' Aria says

'Good weird or bad weird?' Hanna asks

'Good weird' Aria says

'Speaking of 'A' when I went into radley that night to our records, i saw Toby's record and i took them, and he was there when you Aria was working there, did you ever see him there?' Spencer asks

'Wait seriously!?' Mona asks

'Yeah' Spencer says

'I need to see those records' Mona says

'Ok we can go back to the barn and look at them' Spencer says

'Ok' Mona says

'It actually makes sense that you Said Spencer?' Aria says

'Why's that?' Hanna asks

'Well you guys know in the basement they kept the most dangerous ones down there but there was only one room that nobody could go in too because they said that they like to try to attack people' Aria says

'Do you think that it was Toby?' Spencer asks

'Not sure, the only way I can know is by the room number' Aria says

'To Spencer's barn we go' Mona says, they laugh

So they get to Spencer's house Aria and Mona are sitting on the couch and Hanna is sitting in a chair then Spencer walks up to Aria and hands her the folder

'Here you go' Spencer says, Aria takes the folder and opens it she starts reading it

'Room number 402, basement at the end of the hallway, that's the room that nobody could go in at' Aria says

'Spencer when you was down there the other night did you see that room?' Hanna asks

'No, i was too busy worried about the records that I didn't get a chance to see it' Spencer says, Mona takes the folder from Aria and starts reading it

'It says he was brought there because he would think that he would see his mother around the house when she wasn't actually there, it got so bad that he would attack his dad if his dad would ever say that she wasn't there' Mona says

'Was you guys put on medication?' Aria asks, Mona and Spencer

'I was remember that day that you came and visit me I had the nurse go away to get the medicine and when she left I acted how I am now clam and collected, i pretended to take the medicine when I learn what it does to you and your mind' Mona says

'Yeah I was too and i took mine but it didn't have a effect on me' Spencer says, she sits in the chair across from Hanna

'That's because you was ok you just had a normal mental breakdown, for me I was fighting two personalities at the same time, so I was worst off then you was but the medicine I was taking there was making me worse' Mona says

'How did you know that you needed the right medicine?' Hanna asks

'Yeah eventually I did and a therapist' Mona says, Aria can tell that Mona is getting emotional

'Um let's call it a night guys' Aria says

'Yeah, it's getting late anyways' Spencer says

'I'll take you home' Aria says to Mona, Mona smiles

'Yeah, lets go' Mona says, they get up

'We'll see you guys tomorrow' Aria says

'Yeah goodnight guys' Spencer says

'Night' Hanna says

'Night' they both says, they leave, Spencer sits down on the couch and puts her hands over face

'What just happened?' Hanna asks, she gets up and sits down beside her

'Mona doesn't like talking about her time at radley' Spencer says

'Oh, do you want to talk about your time there?' Hanna asks, Spencer looks at her

'Like Mona said I just had a normal mental breakdown, with everything with 'A' got to me finally I reach my breaking point, i had a therapist and they said when I thought that Toby was dead the first time i just give up, being at radley was the best decision that I made because there was so many problems going on with me I didn't tell them about 'A', i mean like family issues and other things' Spencer says, Hanna puts her hands over Spencer's hands

'Well whatever happened in there it made you stronger' Hanna says, Spencer smiles and Kisses her

In Aria's car

'Thank you for noticing my emotions getting the best of me' Mona says

'Yeah, no problem' Aria says

'It's not that I don't trust you guys, I'm just afraid what i might tell you that might make you guys stay away from me' Mona says

'You don't have to tell everybody what happened to you in there, just start with the people that you trust' Aria says

'Like you' Mona says, she looks at Aria, Aria looks back at Mona

'As much as i would like to know, take your time' Aria says

'I will tell you one day' Mona says, Aria smiles

'I'll be here when you do' Aria says, Mona smiles and kisses her, Aria takes her home
