ch.25: sad news 💔

It's summer vacation Mona and her family are going to Hawaii to visit their family over there for a month which will be hard for Aria so in order to cheer her up they are going to do a movie night in Spencer's barn they are going to watch get out but in order to watch it they Aria, so the girls are at her house they walk in her room and Aria is reading

'Hey we're going to have movie night at the barn, you wanna come?' Spencer asks

'Come on, it will do you good' Alison says, Aria looks at them

'what kind of movie?' Aria asks

'Horror' Hanna says

'The movie is called get out' Emily says

'Is Mike going to be there?' Aria asks

'Yes' Spencer says, Aria puts the book down

'Ok I'm in, i wanna see Mike getting scared, if you think I'm bad at horror movies just watch Mike tonight' Aria says, she gets up from her bed and grabs her jacket

'Noted' Hanna says, they leave and heads back to Spencer's barn

Everybody gets to Spencer's barn everything is set up and everybody sits down they start the movie as like Aria said Mike jump and scream at the jump scares so did Caleb the movie is over with and Aria is sitting on the couch face timing Mona

'How was your night?' Mona asks

'Well we just watched the horror movie called get out, Mike and Caleb screamed like little girls during it' Aria says, Mona laughs, Mike walks up behind Aria

'Hey, in my defense this is the first time watching it' Mike says

'Ok we're going to let you slide on this one but Caleb has seen this movie a couple of times' Aria says

'Well we're going to have nightmares tonight' Mike says, he kisses her on the head and goes back to the others, Mona gives Aria a weird look

'He does that for good luck after watching a horror movie to not have nightmares' Aria says

'Oh gotcha you, did you jump or scream?' Mona asks

'I jumped but I didn't scream like some people' Aria says

'Can you go somewhere private please?' Mona asks

'Um yeah sure' Aria says, she gets up and heads outside, everybody heard what Mona said but didn't look at Aria

'That doesn't sound good' Hanna says

'It must be serious because Mona is like an open book with us' Alison says

'Well, we will find out when Aria comes back in' Emily says

Outside Aria is sitting on the back porch steps

'I didn't want the others to hear this I want to surprise them, I'm telling you this because some of them were saying how sad you are about me leaving, trust me the feeling is mutual being away from you is killing me and I know we need spacr our time away from each other but this is the reason why i hate being away from you is because when we got here there was this big storm and wipe out the power everywhere luckily they fix it but unfortunately we didn't know this until we got here, my aunt my dad's sister the oldest one died so we have to fly here back to the United States and also fly us back home, we would have buried her here but Hawaii doesn't have much room for people to be buried here' Mona says

'Oh my god, babe I'm so sorry to hear that' Aria says, Mona smiles

'Thank you babe, so we threw her body back today, we're packing right now, we have a flight at 9am which is a ten hour flight back so I'll probably see you guys at 7pm tomorrow evening' Mona says

'That's crazy, i wish that you could have stayed longer' Aria says

'Oh trust me, me too after the funeral my parents are flying back and they asked me if i wanted to come too and i said nah I'll stay back all that flying well get to me I Can with Aria or one of the girls for awhile' Mona says, Aria smiles

'I'll see what my mom says' Aria says, Mona smiles

'Thanks you're the best, i should probably go and pack some more, i just wanted to check in with you see how you're doing' Mona says

'I'm hanging in there' Aria says

'I know me too, well goodnight and I love you, I'll see you some time tomorrow hopefully' Mona says, Aria smiles

'Goodnight I love you too' Aria says, they both blows kisses to each other and hangs up

Aria puts her phone down and puts her hands over her face and sighs

'Everything ok?' Mike asks, she looks up at him and He sits down beside her, Aria tells him what just happened not about her coming back though

'Damn, that must suck' Mike says

'I can see the hurt and lost in her eyes where she was talking to me' Aria says

'You wish that she was here so you can just wrap your arms around her and don't let her go' Mike says, Aria smiles

'Oh yeah but hopefully she comes back sooner then later' Aria says, she puts her head on Mike's shoulder and he smiles, he kisses her on the head

'She will be, its Mona' Mike says, Aria smiles at that because it's true Mona does what she wants to do end of story
