Romeo hadn't left her mind and she hadn't left his. They both could feel an attraction for each other creeping into their minds.

She wouldn't allow herself to become too attracted. What could he possibly see in her? He already had a wife and a kid.

She avoided his office for two days and sent him emails and text messages instead. They continued to text each other daily but something felt off between them. Their conversations were short and awkward. She just wanted things to go back to how they were before.

Her cellphone sounded with a message from her boss. Speak of the devil...

Romeo: Come to my office.

She gulped as her fingers involuntarily squeezed her phone. Her heart skipped a beat nervously as beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. She didn't want to see him. She knew he felt something towards her and she didn't like that. She couldn't repeat it in her head enough: The man had a wife.

Slowly, she walked out of her office, biting her lip anxiously. Her arms stuck at her side as her feet trudged under her.

When she finally made it to the closed door of his office, she stood there, staring at it.

He could hear when her footsteps came to a halt at the otherside of the door.

"Come in," His gruff voice sounded from the other side, startling her.

She wondered how he knew she was standing there.

Taking a deep breath, she turned the knob and entered his empty office. There he was, as handsome as ever, wearing a full black suit with a pink shirt, seated on the edge of his office desk.

"You wanted me?" She asked in a hushed voice.

She almost facepalm herself when she realized the pun of her question.

Romeo decided to ignore her question and also the unintended pun. He needed to control himself.

"Sit, Hailey."

She nodded stiffly and sat on the sofa. Slowly raising her head, she dared to look at him, but not in the eye. She couldn't meet his intense gaze.

"You've been avoiding me," He began.

She shook her head erratically, "No, sir, I just had a lot to do lately."

It wasn't a complete lie. She had been working on multiple reports and projects that occupied most of her time, but, yeah, she had been avoiding him.

"Hmm," Romeo hummed, staring at her. He knew she was avoiding him because before they had lunch together that first time, she'd usually pop into his office to find out if there was anything he wanted her to work on. She hadn't done that in two days.

"I like you, Hailey." Romeo voiced. It was about time he told her. He couldn't keep it to himself any longer.

Her blue eyes widened in surprise as her mouth fell open, "Huh?"

His hazel eyes were void and emotionless as he watched her reaction, "I like you."

She stared at him eyes wide and her heart skipped a beat. He was bold and blunt and she didn't know how to respond to a statement like that.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She breathed.

Romeo raised a brow, folding his arms across his chest, an amused smile tugging at the corner of his lips, "No one has ever told you that they like you?"

"Yeah, of course, but what do you mean?"

"I mean I like you a lot. I like you so much that I cannot help thinking about the way your lips taste or how your body would feel against mine." He stated, licking his lips slowly.
