Chapter 12

Rylee's POV-

Lucifer thought I gave him a chance.

I wanted to laugh at that. 

After all that he put me through, he didn't really deserve a chance.

I had chosen to do the most cliched thing all captives do:

Gain their kidnapper's trust and trust and then run away.

I woke up with Lucifer's arms around my waist.

I tried to remove it but he groaned and opened his eyes sleepily. 

"Go to sleep, Ryl," He said softly and closed his eyes. 

"I need to pee!"  

He groaned again but removed his arm. 

I dashed to the bathroom and did my business. I got out and saw that he was still sleeping, hugging a pillow tightly.

I chuckled. I wanted to take a photo of him, but I didn't know where my phone was. I would ask him soon. 

"Ryl, come back," He whispered and patted the bed.

I smiled and slept beside him. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer, spooning me. We stayed like this for an hour, until I realized it was gonna be too late. 

"Luc, it's late. Wake up," I whispered near his ears. 

He hummed and opened his eyes. 

"What?" He asked sleepily. 

Damn, his morning voice was so deep and hot. 

"Hm. So you find my voice hot, huh?" He asked, smirking. 

My cheeks turned red.

I buried my face on his chest to hide my flushed cheeks. He chuckled deeply and pulled me closer, kissing my forehead.

"Ryl, I have a meeting today," Lucifer murmured, caressing my hair softly. 

I shrugged. "Okay." 

What did that have to do with me?

"You're coming with me." 

I raised my eyebrow. "No."

"Yes," he said calmly, but firmly.

I jolted up, shrugging his arms off me. "I can't be in a room full of criminals!"

He got up as well, pulling me back on his lap despite my struggles. He pinned my wrists down and held my jaw firmly.

"You are the queen, the donna. You have to be there."

"I'm not going to be the donna! I don't want to be your queen!"

Lucifer groaned, running a hand through his hair.

"Rylee. Yesterday you said you wanted to give us a chance."

"I never said I would give you a chance," I clarified, "I wanted to see how this relationship would work if I truly did give you a chance. It's different."

He sighed and caressed my jaw. "Ryl, if you date me, and love me, you would be the queen of my empire."

"Doesn't someone become the queen when she marries the Don?" 

Lucifer was silent for sometime, staring deeply into my eyes. After a while, he spoke up.

"Alright then. We will get married tomorrow."

My heart stopped beating.

My eyes widened.

"What?!"
