"Finished running, love?"

And I froze.

I could easily recognize the voice anywhere.

How the fuck did he get to know?

I gulped and with trembling legs, I turned around to come face-to-face with Lucifer. Andrew stood beside him. They both had murderous looks on their face.

"I always loved a good chase," Lucifer said with a smirk.

I tried to steady my breathing.

"We run on the count of 3," I whispered to Alexia so they couldn't hear us.

She nodded.

"One...two..," I began, "Three!"

And we ran for our lives. I dashed passed several trees, desperately trying to escape him. Beads of sweat ran down my cheek and my breathing became heavier.

I spotted a huge tree on my right and ran towards it. I hid behind that tree, taking deep breaths to calm myself down.

"Rylee!" Lucifer sing-sang, "Where are you?"

Yeah, pfft. Like hell I would tell him that.

"If you don't come out from wherever you are, I will kill Ruth," He threatened and I froze.

His voice was cold and serious.

He wouldn't kill Ruth...would he?

"Found you," He suddenly said and I jumped.

I looked up at met with the fiery eyes of Lucifer. I gulped and tried running past him but he pulled me back by my waist. He flipped me around so that my back was pressed against his chest.

"Oh, Rylee," He murmured in my ears, holding me tighter.

"Let go of me!" I heard Alexia yell.

I turned to the right and saw Andrew dragging Alexia by her waist.

"Hey! Let go her!" I yelled, trying to get out of Lucifer's hold, "Let her go, you bastard!"

Within a split second, I found myself dangling off Lucifer's sharp shoulder.

"What the hell? Lucifer, put me down!" I yelled, banging his back.

He ignored me and walked back into the mansion making my hopes diminish.

"I don't want to go back there," I said softly, sadness clear in my voice.

"You never had a choice," Lucifer said sternly.

I groaned and punched his back one last time. He walked up the stairs, into the bedroom, and dropped me on the bed.

Within a second, handcuffs were clasped around my right wrist and the headboard.

Again.

"I can't trust you," Lucifer muttered, shaking his head.

That hurt.

"Lucifer," I finally got courage to ask, "how did you know that we escaped?"

He smirked. "Love, I knew that you'd do anything to get away from me and I knew that you'd try to escape whilst I was in the meeting so I came back early."

"Listen, this is my fault. I convinced Alexia to run away with me. Tell Andrew to let her go."

He smiled softly. "This is what I love about you. You care about others rather than yourself."

He really thought flattery would make me forgive him?

"And about Andrew and Alexia, it's their personal matter," He continued which made me more angry than I already was.
