Rylee's POV-

"Ryl, wake up," I heard someone whisper.

"Hmm?"

"Wake up."

"No," I whined, snuggling more closer to the pillow.

I heard a chuckle and then, I felt someone tickle me. I instantly opened my eyes, only to be greeted by Chris on top of me.

"STOP-STOP!" I yelled between my laugh.

"No," He replied, tickling me harder.

Tears surfaced on my eyes after laughing so much. Finally, he stopped and got off me. I clutched my stomach which was paining so badly.

"Okay. Take a shower, I am preparing breakfast. Will cornflakes do?" He asked.

I nodded and walked to the bathroom. I blushed, realizing I still had his shirt on.

I stripped out of it and took a relaxing shower.

Shit. I forgot my clothes again. I wrapped the towel around me and stepped out of the washroom.

I was about to ask Chris for clothes when I spotted a tank top and shorts lying on the bed. Oh, nice.

I wore a black tank top and white shorts. It fit me like a glove, surprisingly.

I walked down and saw Chris taking a spoonful of cereal. He saw me and smiled. I sat beside him.

"Whose clothes are these?" I asked curiously.

"My sister- Elena's. She comes her for vacations so I just kept her clothes her. It fits you perfectly, I see," He replied.

I nodded and gulped my cornflakes.

"By the way, Ryl. Can I ask you something?" He murmured.

I hummed.

"Who were you running from?"

My breath hitched.

"My ex. He kidnapped me and wanted to marry me, so I ran away from him," I said.

I didn't lie though.

He frowned deeply and nodded, processing whatever the fuck I just said.

"Hm. Well, I'm here with you now. Don't worry."

I smiled at him.

Lucifer.

No! Forget about him!

Was I betraying him?

No. I broke up with him 2 years back.

He forcefully wanted to marry me, so I did the right thing by running away.

Did I?

God! This was so confusing.

"Okay, Ryl. I need to go to work. I have my business to take care off. Will you be fine alone?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Of course I will. Bye," I said.

He waved back and walked out the house. I locked the door, of course, not wanting Lucifer to barge in anytime.

I plopped on the sofa in the hall and switched on the T.V. I flipped through random channels and decided to just stick with Netflix. I started Friends, which I binged a thousand times.

I didn't know how fast time flew when the door opened and Chris walked in.

"How was work?" I asked

"Good. Lesser work than usual. So, what did you do while I was out?"

"Netflix," I replied with a shrug.

He went to his room to freshen up. He came down in just his sweats, his perfect abs for display. I couldn't help but to check him out. We ate our dinner quietly and sat down on the sofa.

We watched fifty shades of grey- Not my choice! He chose it.

He snuggled closer to me on the sofa, wrapping his arms around me. I didn't mind. I felt myself lean into his embrace.

"Chris, for how long will I stay with you?"

"For as long as you want."

"I will need to leave soon," I sighed.

"Stay, please."

"Chris, my ex may find me...," I trailed off.

Knowing Lucifer, he would kill Chris first, and ask questions later.

"He won't. Please stay."

Pfft, sure.

Lucifer was the fucking mafia king of America. He could find me within a second.

"Ryl?" Chris spoke up, "stay, please."

I sighed and nodded. I mean, I could always leave in a week or so.

"Thank you, Chris," I whispered gratefully, "This truly means a lot."

He smiled and pulled me closer to him.

My plan was to stay with Chris for a day or two, and then leave.

I didn't know where, but I would.

I  couldn't risk Chris' life. He helped me a lot.

I bit my lip, thinking of how I could escape Lucifer.

Could I go back to Sydney?

Oh, hell nah. That would be the first place he would search.

I could move to Antarctica...

Perfect.

I love cold weathers, and Antarctica would be far away from Lucifer.

"Ryl," Chris whispered, "don't stress so much. Sleep. Think about all this tomorrow, okay?"

I bit my lip and nodded, laying my head on his chest.

Maybe I could escape Lucifer after all...

Guys...please vote! If you vote, I get a motivation to write the book.
