Emily POV
After the talk with my dad I had decided to sit out by the pool, he went back to fixing his truck and left me to it. It felt good to be away from missouri especially knowing that there was no way Randy was going to show up at the door.
My dads home was in the middle of nowhere, he had no neighbours and so it was really quiet out here, the perfect place to think.
"Em it's so good to see you!" Michelle calls out as she rushes over to me and gives me a big hug "your dad said you needed girl talk"
"It's good to see you to Michelle" I smile "I bet he did"
"So he tells me that you have developed feelings for Randy" she smirks as she sits on the lounger next to mine
"That's one way of putting it" I say " I fell for him along time ago"
"You know you never told me how you guys met" she says
"We met in 2005, Randy and his dad were in a fued with my dad and I had decided to travel with my dad for a while" I explain "I was sat with my dad when Bob came to talk to him and he had Randy with him"
"And what happened?" She asks enthusiastically
"He smiled at me and I swear I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me, he was gorgeous" I laugh "we got talking and he asked me to go to catering with him to get a drink, and we've been inseparable ever since"
"Has it always been platonic between you two?" She asks
"There was one night" I sigh "I was staying with him in missouri, we'd been watching a movie in his room, I'd said something cheeky and he tickled me, the next thing I knew I was pinned underneath him and he was looking down at me. He kissed me, I didn't stop him and one thing led to another, the next morning he had a look of pure regret on his face and I knew he thought it was a mistake"
"Ouch, I'm guessing you didn't regret it?" She asks
"Not a second of it" I smile "I got a taste of what it would be like to be with him and being with him made me happy"
"So tell me about this wife of his" she says
"Put politely she's a bitch" I say "she wants me gone because she knows how I feel about Randy, I think my dad and Bob are right I don't think she loves him at all I think she loves his money"
"And why do you think that?" She asks
"Well when you love someone, like really love someone you love everything about them, you accept all their faults right?" I ask and she nods "Well she's always on the phone bitching about him and don't get me wrong I'll be the first to say he's not perfect but he doesn't need to be, and on top of that he added a second credit card to the account thats for his daughter gave it to his wife and she maxed it out"
"Well that has money grabber written all over it" Michelle says
"Exactly, Randy deserves better than her, he deserves to have someone who loves him unconditionally, who'll see him at his worst and still think he's amazing, who'll call him for no other reason than she wants to hear his voice and most importantly someone who will love his daughter as much as they love him" I say ranting a little
"Honey I think you just described yourself" Michelle smiles
"Well I am better than her" I laugh "but seriously though he does deserve someone who loves him the way I do"
"Emily he could find someone who ticks all those boxes but they will never love him the way you do because they're not you" she says
"I hate what's going on between us" I sigh "I miss him so much, I want to hear his voice so bad but at the same time I know I'm doing the right thing keeping away"
"Yes you are" she says "but the sooner you expose her for what she really is the sooner you'll get him back and when you do tell him how you feel, you never know you could be pleasantly suprised"
