Next Morning
Emily POV
Opening my eyes I go to move but I feel arms tighten around my waist and I smile as lean back against the man I'm pretty sure never let go of me all night.
"don't even think about going anywhere" he says placing gentle kisses along the back of my shoulder
"don't you have media work to do today?" I ask as he presses himself against me
"yeah but I would much rather stay here with you" he says kissing my neck as his hand travels down the front of my body. I place my hand on top of his stopping him in his tracks.
"later" I say "your job is important"
Growling he lets go of me before rolling onto his back "fine" he says sitting up and stretching "but I want it on record that I did not want to leave you, you made me"
"noted" I laugh getting out the bed myself and walking over to my case
As Randy takes a shower I get dressed and tie my hair back, when he emerges from the bathroom he is wearing nothing but a towel, droplets of water glistening on his muscled torso. Unable to take my eyes off him I find myself biting my bottom lip.
"Hey, don't you be looking at me like that" he smirks "I have to work remember"
"and you couldn't have got dressed in the bathroom?" I ask
"and deprive you of this view? Never" he laughs "what are you going to be doing while I'm gone?"
"I was thinking of going to the mall" I say "see if I can get something for Alanna"
"Well I'm only going to be gone a couple of hours" he says "and we only have one car, so why don't we go together when I'm done"
"you want to go to the mall?" I ask raising an eyebrow "you the man who hates shopping?"
"Is it so wrong that I want to spend time with my girl?" he asks
"no not at all" I smile "if you want us to go together then that is what we'll do"
2 hours later
It is no less than two hours later when Randy gets back to the hotel, putting the car keys on the dresser he walks over to me and takes me in his arms pulling me close.
"how did it go?" I ask
"It sucked and I missed you" he says nuzzling my neck
"well you're with me now" I say "are you ready to shop?
"hey woah" he says moving back from me "you didn't miss me?"
"Randy I always miss you, it goes without saying" I say, smiling he gives me a quick kiss before we head out to the car.
When we get to the mall Randy takes my hand in his lacing his fingers with mine, walking along one of the rows of shops we stop and look in a few windows but so far I haven't spotted anything for Alanna.
"I'm just going to run to the bathroom baby, I won't be long" Randy says kissing me before dashing to the toilets
While I wait I stop and look in the window of a kids shop, as I look at the baby clothes in the display I notice the reflection of someone standing behind me and it's not Randy
"Please tell you are not thinking of having one?" the voice says
Turning I find myself face to face with some one I never thought I would ever see again.
"mu.....Carol" I stutter
"I think the name you are looking for is mum" she smirks "you'll be no good as a mother you know, you were always just a soft and useless at that muscle brained father of yours"
"My dad is not useless" I say "he is strong, protective, loving, kind, everything a parent should be, everything you're not"
"loving" she laughs "love doesn't get you shit honey, it doesn't put a roof over your head, it doesn't pay your bills and it certainly doesn't give you the lifestyle you deserve, money, now that is what you need love is of no use"
Before I can say anything Randy pulls me behind him and then turns his attention to my mum
"who the hell do you think you are talking to her like that" he growls
"I'm her mother" she smirks "my aren't you a tall glass of water, and look at those muscles" she says reaching for his biceps but he moves away from her grasp
"How can you stand there and call yourself a mother after what you did to her" he says "hey lady my eyes are up here not in my jeans"
Returning her gaze to his face she smiles and licks her lips and I feel Randy's body tense up
"Hmm I'm going to guess that she found herself some one just like her daddy" she smirks "and as far as what I did to her, I didn't do nothing that didn't do her any good"
"Are you fucking serious?" Randy growls "actually no no your right, it did do her some good, it gave her the tools to recognise when some one was hurting my daughter, it gave her the strength and courage to protect my little girl, but that is nothing to do with you, that is all her because despite what you did, she is an amazing woman and I am lucky to have her love me the way she does"
"and there is that word again" she laughs "like I said love doesn't get you any of the things you need, if she is anything like her momma then she is with you for your money and nothing else"
"I am nothing like you" I growl from behind Randy
"oh I don't think the apple fell far from the tree" she says "after all you found yourself a big muscle brained idiot with money, just like I did with your father"
"alright that's enough" Randy snaps "this woman right here" he says pointing at me "is nothing like you, she knows how to love some one, she knows how to be an amazing mother to a child that is not her own, and she will be just as amazing with her own. She is perfect in every single way and I fully intend to build a future with her because I am completely in love with her , you on the other hand are a cold hearted, sadistic, evil witch who doesn't deserve the title of mother, instead of loving your child you beat her, instead of wanting your child you had her to keep hold of her father's money, you disgust me, now I suggest you leave and never come near her again"
Laughing and shaking her head my mum walks away from us and Randy turns to face me pulling close to his chest.
"Are you alright baby?" he asks
"Yeah I'm fine" I say "Thank you"
"you don't ever have to thank me for defending you Em" he says "I would walk through fire to keep you safe, I will never let anyone hurt you especially her"
Clinging to Randy I close my eyes for a moment but the only thing I can think is what if she is right?
