2 days later
Emily POV
I was woken early by the sound of my phone ringing, grabbing it I head down stairs to take the call so I don't wake my dad and Michelle.
"Hey Sam" I say answering the phone
"Em something is wrong with Alanna" she says
"What do you mean? Is she sick?" I ask
"No she's not sick but ever since she stayed at Randy's a couple of days ago she has been refusing to go back" she says "something happened while she was there but she won't tell me"
"Ok I'm going to head home today and I will be with you first thing in the morning" I say
"I'm sorry I know you needed this time away but she might just talk to you" she says
"It's fine honestly, I'll see you soon" I say
"Everything alright" My dad asks making me jump
"Jeez dad! No something is up with Alanna she's refusing to go to Randy's" I say "sam things something happened the last time she stayed there"
"Well then you'll be wanting this" he says handing me a small camera "set it up out of view and have it recording straight away that way you'll catch everything"
"Thanks dad" I say giving him a hug "as soon as I've sorted this I'll be back"
Next day
Arriving at Sam's house I find her in the kitchen and she looks like she hasn't slept.
"Hey where is she?" I ask
"In her room" she says "I swear if this is down to Kim I will kill her myself"
I head through the house to Alanna's room, she is sat on her bed looking down at the floor and it's clear that something has upset her.
"Hey sweetpea" I say sitting next to her and she hugs me "how about you tell me what's wrong?" I ask
"I don't want to stay with dad anymore" she says "I'm not allowed to do anything with him I just have to entertain myself"
"Alanna who told you that?" I ask
"Kim" she says "after she..........After she slapped me"
"She did what!" I gasp "ok tell me exactly what happened"
"I had a nightmare and I went through to dad" she says "he was fine, he cuddled me for a bit. Kim said she'd take me back to my room and when we got there she slapped me, she said that next time I should suck it up and deal with it and that I wasn't to bother my dad so much"
"Listen to me, I'm glad you told me and you should have told your mum" I say "I promise she will not get away with this"
"I told dad on the way here but he didn't believe me" she says
"It's ok I believe you" I say giving her one last hug before heading through to Sam
As I enter the kitchen Sam looks up and she knows I've found out and that it's not good.
"What has she done to my daughter?" She asks
"The bitch slapped her" I growl "she had a nightmare went to Randy he cuddled her for a bit and then Kim took her back to her room, slapped her and told her not to bother her dad so much. On top of that she has told her that while she is there she has to entertain herself"
"That's it I've had it with that woman" she says "how dare she lay a hand on my daughter I'm going to end her for this"
"Woah, we have to be clever about this" I say "she told Randy when he brought her back here and he didn't believe her"
"Of course he fucking didn't" she says "Kim is supposed to be picking her up in the morning"
"Good let her, I'll be here when she does and I'm going to get the proof we need" I say showing her the camera
"But she won't do anything in front of me" Sam says
"No that's why it will just be me, she'll have no problem doing something in front of me" I say
"Until this is sorted Alanna goes nowhere with her or Randy" Sam says
"Oh don't worry Alanna will not be leaving this house" I say
