Author Here: I am so so so sorry but as the school year was coming to an end I was really busy with a last-minute assignment and studying for end of the year tests made me so stressed and when I was free I was really burnt out and just wanted to sleep. I don't know if I am going to put the book on hold for the summer and take a break with my family or if I am going to post weekly seeing as I am going to be free with my family for the rest of the summer. PETER POV
It had been a whole week since I ordered the ring and it came yesterday. Am I nervous? Yes. I am scared she will say no? Yes. Am I going to chicken out? No. This is the person who has been with me for forever and to lose her or make her wait a little bit longer makes me sad.

I love her and I mean I hope she feels the same way because we live together and we work in the same building except she has a real job. And...

"Hey, Pete your gonna be late." Mr. Stark says peeking his head over my table to get me out of the lab. Right the date. THE date the one I propose at!

"Omg, your right I gotta go!" I say grabbing my stuff but each time he keeps taking things out of my hands and shoves 300 bucks into my hands which leaves me stunned and before I can give them back which he know I will. I am pushed out the door and the lab is locked to keep me out.

"Good luck I totally won't be watching it Bye!" He says in a robotic voice as he used the speaker to talk to me through the door. I roll my eyes and wave them start making my way out of the tower.

A sleek black car pulled to a stop directly in front of me which I knew was Happy.

"Why are you here?" I ask as he rolls down the window and motions for me to get in the back. I do.

"Once again why are you here?"

"You're already about to be late and you're proposing so if you are late have fun getting your ass kicked." Happy spoke incredibly seriously before pulling up the divider and quickly pulling away.

It takes about five minutes to get back to the apartment with the help of the speed of Happy Hogan. Getting out of the car and saying thank you to Happy I speed to the elevator and make my way to the apartment where Sterling's dad is waiting.

I flew her dad out without Mr. Stark knowing because he would obviously want to pay, which I could not allow. Pulling out the key and stepping in the nerves flood my body as I see the Commander hat on the kitchen table and white gloves neatly laid next to it.

He already had a cup of coffee in his hands and sitting at the bar stools which were perfectly spaced apart which was a perk when you live with someone who has mild OCD. We made eye contact immediately and he set his coffee down onto the counter and stood up.

Him being 6,3 and me being what 5, 10 there was a difference in height and he towered over me and it was scary. He saluted me slowly which was my signal to do it back or he would hate me forever.

His face erupted into a smile and he clapped me on the back before pulling me into a bear hug. "How's that credit score huh Pete!" He asked. Oh, I should probably tell you his name. Commander of the Air Force Jameson Tanner.

"It's going good Captain, and it hasn't changed since the last time you came but"

"Oh, that's great hey how's Sterling haven't broken your heart have you?" Jameson starts laughing.

"Sir I wanted to ask you something."

"Alright, Parker ask."

"I want to marry your daughter." His expression changed immediately and he pushed me to sit down so he towered over me even more.
