Erin glanced at Chase to see what he was going to do. Edward repeated his question, "How was the mission?"
Erin put on a steely gaze and told Edward that the mission was fine and he had no need to worry himself over it.
Chase broke in and said, "Yeah. Now I'm tired so I'm going to go rest."
As Chase turned away, Edward's single eye became fiery red with anger and his face was livid. He stepped right next to Chase, grabbed his shirt collar and pulled Chase up to his nose. "Don't be smart with me," Edward whispered.
Erin stood helplessly on the outside of the situation. She could do nothing to help.
Edward dropped Chase who fell in a heap on the cement floor, gasping and choking and eventually passing out. Erin stared daggers at Edward as he turned on his heel and walked away.
Erin leapt to her feet and grabbed a jar of peanut butter to share with Chase when he woke up.
She started eating the peanut butter and it tasted delicious. Chase startled awake and then saw the peanut butter and ate some as Erin offered it to him.
