Wookyung was called to the door by someone banging on it, a constant slapping of palms against a hard surface as if there wasn't a bell right next to it. In short, someone annoying. He snuck a look at his smartscreen, wondering who it could be and looked taken aback.

Chun Duna was standing outside.

"What are you doing here? Who gave you my address?" Wookyung cracked open the door to his apartment by an inch. She was standing outside with wet, messy hair and her shoulders hunched over. Her clothes looked like she had been walking in the rain without an umbrella. Her face had telltale signs of tears. "Can I come in?" she sniffled.

"I just..." she cried "... want him to like me but all he does is criticise me and hurt my feelings" he stared up at the ceiling, her mouth open in a loud wail. Wookyung had been standing up against a wall, with his arms crossed "I understand but if it's not working out. You can tell him that it's over and carry on with your life, it's not that hard" he didn't see the problem.

"Carry on?..." Duna blew her nose into the tissue she had pulled from his kitchen roll "How can I carry on... he's the one for me" she argued, wiping her tears. "But maybe that's not what he thinks" Wookyung sighed, he was getting tired of her. "I'm not one for sentimental comfort so I won't be of much help. You can go talk to one of your friends about it"

"That's not why I came here" Duna looked at him a bit differently, raising her chin up at him and pushing her chest out. Wookyung scoped her shabby pullover, windcheater and plaid skirt. She wasn't poor per se, he wondered thinking about the upper-floor apartment she rented despite just being in University.

She didn't work part-time jobs or compete in various examinations for scholarships or financial aid either. Her parents were doing well and were very much involved, holding her up just fine. The parents of most children in Hanguk University were the same. Not obscenely rich but moneyed enough to not sweat.

Byun Minho, on the other hand, was a whole another story. He knew for a fact that Byun Minho never drank in college so as to be able to attend to his several side jobs that paid his hefty tuition fees, soggy college dinners and ratchet apartment rent. He also knew that he had paid his first year of college through scholarships. He clearly had scraps to call his own...

what a poor little bastard that man...

His status played into his choice. For example, he didn't care as much to date or party with his peers, choosing to stay holed up in the library studying for extra tests and looking for more scholarships. Always on the lookout... Wookyung knew because he'd spot his name on various sign-ups on the notification board.

Byun's social stature was miles below his' but for some reason, he was wildly attracted to the fact that he struggled alone to make ends meet, feeling offended if anyone offered to help. The arrogance he had was rare in men... he wouldn't accept a short cut even if it meant he'll live. His aggression was endearing. All in all... such a diligent puppy...

"I want to have sex with you" Duna suddenly declared in a flat voice, clearing her throat and crossing her arms. Wookyung raised his brows, shifting on his feet in thought. "I don't know if that's very wise... you still seem hung on Byun Minho... don't know if I'm okay with that..." he confessed and Duna rolled her eyes.

"Whatever happens between us is our deal" she tried to take an authoritative tone with him "He's already out of the picture so there is nothing left between us" Duna reassured him and Wookyung shrugged, he didn't care for the sex but she was the first and last girl Byun Minho ever dated so needless to say, he was curious about what he liked in her.
