~ 29-1, Dean's Residence, Hanguk University, Daehak-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul

Minho flipped through the notebook that Hyunwoo had passed him. "Why didn't you complete the essays?" he looked confused but the boy was distracted, staring instead, at his chest through the one button he undid after he freshened up for the evening tuition class. Minho consciously pulled his shirt at the neck and pushed the notebook in front of him.

"You attempted all the questions but they're incomplete... and what you did write is full of inconsistencies like here and here and here..." he pointed out, feeling aggravated but the boy sat back with an odd confidence. Minho knew that face, the one that spelt 'My father is your boss and you cannot yell at me even if you want'.

Indeed, he was the son of Park Hajoon, the college Dean, under whom he graduated, worked as a research assistant and now served as an adjunct. According to Hyunwoo, he didn't need to study as he planned to become a model right after high school so the Dean had broken down, asking Minho, like he always did, to tutor him and help him scrape by academically.

The same thing had happened with his 2 younger children, both of whom, Minho had to step in and tutor. Byun had been silently managing this duty too, albeit with a lot of struggle as he had to flit between college classes and the Dean's house doing odd jobs alongside the tutoring like planning family events, foreign travels, school trips, team management activities on the Dean's behalf.

As expected, it was a thankless series of commitments as he was either left unpaid or unappreciated. Park Hyunwoo wasn't helping either, calling the tuition arrangements a bother and sitting blankly through all their sessions while ignoring the homework he got. If nothing, Minho wanted him to do well so that he could put in a good name for himself.

He wasn't doing everything in vain...

As long as he kept pleasing the Dean, he could hope to get a tenure and move out of the current temporary teaching position. Not only will the University raise his salary, but he would also be entitled to housing within the campus with provisions for water, electricity and gas. All things, that he'd been struggling with since his college days after he moved out of his family home and into his own flat.

"I can't think creatively when given a short span of time to do my creative best" Hyunwoo shrugged, staring at Minho's bicep and forearm causing him to straighten up, feeling as uneasy as ever. "Please write this in front of me, I will watch as you complete it" he pointed to the notebook. "But I have nothing coming to miiind" he argued but Minho raised a finger.

"I can pass this notebook to the Dean and he'll make you do the rest, would you be fine with that? Would you prefer a stricter, harsher tutor?" Minho countered him with exasperation. "No..." he slinked and Minho passed him the pen "I want the first essay finished by 7 pm" he folded his arms, causing the boy to glance at his flexing shoulders.

Byun shrivelled up immediately, trying to be as still as possible. The staring was a recent development as he usually ignored him. Now he ignored what he said WHILE staring at him incessantly for the 2 and half hours they studied together every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

"Do you have a girlfriend, Professor Byun?" he asked and Minho swivelled his head at him in shock, "That's none of your concern, please do what is asked of you and stop bothering me!" he scolded him and the boy stopped fiddling with his pen. "That was off" he scratched his chin with the nib "How about a boyfriend".

Minho had it at that and stood up angrily, knocking his chair back and stormed out of the room. He was so blinded by fury that he barely saw where he was going, almost colliding head first with the Dean in the corridor. Before he could even adjust his glasses, the Dean grabbed his shoulders.
