~ Riding on Areum's bike

Eunyeong could hear the wind whooshing from inside the helmet. Usually, she'd roll her windows up, and have the air conditioner on with some calm music playing as she made her way back home from work but tonight was different. She wrapped her hands tighter around Areum's waist, looking to the side as she leaned into her and closed her eyes. She couldn't argue anymore. Initially, she wobbled, clutched and complained, uncomfortable when they began riding but soon enough... she began enjoying it.

Looking at her hand as she extended it a bit, feeling the cool air slipping from between her fingers, the breeze blowing the loose hair on her neck, tickling her and making her shiver. It was... almost arousing and she raised her face to the sky, slowly throwing her head back as she savoured the feeling, rolling her neck slowly and loosening her arms. From the corner of her eye, she saw Areum adjust the sideview mirror, focusing on her. She raised a brow, staring right back at her. When Areum seemed to laugh a little, she slowly reached forward and tilted her head to look away from the mirror.

She could feel her speed up a little, zooming ahead of everyone. They must have been riding out for long but when Areum finally slowed outside the impound, Eunyoung sighed, feeling like it was all over too soon. She now had a taste of what it felt like, she guessed as she gingerly placed flat palms on Areum's shoulders, sliding off the seat more rather than getting off it to avoid ripping her skirt. "Easy does it" Areum shifted the bike between her legs, shaking her head out of the helmet and looking at Eunyeong.

"You look like you had fun..."

"Yes, and then I realised I was with you" Eunyeong shot back, returning the helmet and sashaying away "Touché" Areum shook her head, parking the bike and strolling after her. The impound was dark, lit by a sparse row of yellow street lights. It was enclosed by a wire mesh, headed by a small booth at the front. Eunyeong hurried to it, seeing a dimly lit man sleeping and mumbling to himself. "HEY!" she slammed the glass front, waving at him. He stirred, rolling off his seat and disappearing below the counter.

Areum walked up to them by then, peering inside "Do you talk to ghosts?" she asked innocuously and Eunyeong glared at her "Can you just not... not right now" she knocked again. "Then who..." Areum looked down, seeing the man snoozing on the floor. She grinned, flexing her neck and arms as if bracing for something and then imitated a... police siren... really loudly. Eunyeong's jaw dropped as she stared at her, her senses slapped. It seemed to do the job as the man got startled, standing right up.

"Park Myung reporting! How can I help you?!" he yelled sincerely and Eunyeong looked at Areum and then back "Um... hi... well... I need my car back. It got towed this afternoon from..." "Baleine Books Tower, Dongsoong- dong" Areum helped her out and the man slowly recovered from sleep, scowling at them "Can't you see we're closed?" he plopped back in his seat grumpily, propping his legs up to sleep again. "Huh?? But your signboard says open from 9 am to 9 pm!" Eunyeong argued, "It's 8 pm!". The man paused at that, unable to refute it.

"Those were the rules five years ago. Now we only open till 7 pm" he swung his cap back onto his face and Eunyeong felt defeated, trying to get the man's attention. She sighed after a while, ready to walk away when Areum leapt through the gap in the window, grabbing the man by the hair and pulling him up, jerking his face forward. He yelled and flailed but she took him by the neck, whispering something unintelligible upon hearing which, he immediately stilled, suddenly all ears. She released him, stepping away but looking behind. "What's your car number?" he asked.

"Uh..." Eunyeong brushed off the shock of what had happened, she was coming to believe that every second spent with Areum is bound to be extraordinary. "It's a... Kia... 8141" she stuttered, nervously wringing her hands as he looked it up. "Got it. Okay, proof of ownership, registration and insurance" he said and Eunyeong rushed to open her phone folder for the paper scans she had kept in case she needed them and was away from home. "Here" she handed her phone to him and he went through everything "You know that's a fine of 40,000 won, right?" he asked and Eunyeong rolled her eyes.
