Minho rang the bell, stifling a yawn. He had spent the night at a 24/7 internet café, drinking their bitter coffee to keep his eyes open as he jotted down his ideas for his first chapter. It wasn't going too well or too bad but he was determined to make it work. Plus, after repeatedly mulling over what Duna had said...

He really couldn't focus on writing at home. While he had already planned to go to Eunyeong's in the morning, he decided that it won't hurt to spend the night outside either. Moreover, it was quite possible that Wookyung would decide to drop by, demanding to talk while asserting his own ideas, touching him, buying him things, making himself comfortable like he always did.

Minho thought better to make himself scarce not because he would say yes but because if he saw him outside his door...

He wouldn't be able to say no

But he couldn't afford to be weak, not now after he knew what he thought of him, not after what he said to him during the fight. He was nothing more than fantasy fodder to him... a rich boy's fetish. He couldn't let him have his way anymore. He wanted to show Cha Wookyung exactly what he lost when he put him down.

He was prone to getting upset over things not going his way. Surely he would try any means to seek him out and when he wouldn't be able to, this would add fuel to the fire, make him crazy and desperate for him. Minho wanted to punish him for putting him in a hard place. For forcing him out of his job... the threat of him making him scared to even stay at home...

Minho closed his eyes, seeing sleepy, colourful circles inside... he tried to distract himself, bringing his mind back to Ahn Eunyeong's front door.

He had finally managed to collect all his belongings into one big suitcase which he had set down on the welcome mat next to his shoes. It had a cute kitten knit on it, Minho noticed, then he saw the little plastic charms hanging on her door handle, a little doll sticker stuck on a far corner.

Eunyeong lived in the decent part of town, her apartment complex had immaculate planning with neat, manicured hedges lining the park area and residential areas. It wasn't exactly cheap to live here. He had the same thought he had while he was gathering all the things for his stay...

Eunyeong seemed to really like him... even romantically aside from her willingness to be friends with someone like him. Why else would she let him stay over? He knew she was not one to expect more, as she had said to him on the train. But what if he lets her down regardless of her expectations...

He liked her too... didn't he? She was sweet, kind, energetic and was very interesting to talk to. They more or less worked in the same fields too. She is a perfect match for him. Would it be so hard to go along with her and try to have an actual relationship for once... Minho sighed, readjusting his glasses and staring at his tennis shoes.

Why was it always so hard to feel those expected feelings for someone... The kind he read about in books and saw in films. He had heard they come as easy as a breeze and sustain people into marriages and having children. Why was that kind of love so elusive? He wanted that too... the purity of a normal, healthy relationship...

didn't he?

Minho straightened his back, looking straight ahead and he heard small footsteps shuffle inside as Eunyeong undid the door locks, cracking the door open to peer out at him. "Oppa!!" she broke out into an ascending squeal and Minho smiled. She had offered to come by and help him pack but he had refused.

He wasn't comfortable with her seeing where he lived and the condition of his house. It would be so embarrassing for him to see her notice the dilapidated buildings, dirty roads, stray dogs, waterlogged sewers and then his cheap basement apartment. And it would be worse that she's kind enough to not show her disgust.
